Catch a thief

I´m stuck at the yellow and red button section - can someone please tell me how to get thru one of the gates?

You must use the power of Blink.
Step on either square button. Move one or 2 spaces and stop when the ugly dude starts to move. Use your Blink power to zap yourself to the end of the passage and go up quickly. The dude will be scared up and then you can get the crystal.

You can move right to the middle before he starts to move, then you can see where you need to blink to.
