How do I delete unwanted saves on WA.

Post by benemily » Sun Feb 25, 2007 6:36 pm

My daughter has been saving things all over the place and it is getting difficult to work out which saves have got which done levels on them. :?
Is it possible to delete all but one of the saved games so that she only has one to do. :?:

You have to look in the Wonderland Adventures program directory. Then, go to the players folder and open that player. In the folder Savegames you can delete savegames. But always make an back-up :!:

I've looked in the WA directory, and under Players there are folders with your names on. Inside these are numbered folders which I assume are the save spots i.e. 1 for the first spot, 2 for the second spot and so on. If you look in the game at the saves and see which one has the latest date and time, you should be able to delete the others.

Before you do anything though, make a copy of the complete saves folder just in case it doesn't work properly after you've deleted the files.

If the save file you want is number 2 for example, you could rename it to 1 and then it will be in top spot.

I would also like to state at this point that I waive all responsibility in the event your computer blows up.

Yep, that works, it's what I did.

Didn't blow up, I live to tell the tale.

Thankyou, thankyou. I didn't make backups, I figured as hubby and six year old were further through than me it would be a good way to claim accidental loss of their progress.

It all went great though and now they only have one saved game to worry about. :)

My 4 year old is obsessed with making himself new stinkers, is there a way to delete profiles as well. :?: :?:

I think if you delete a profile it will delete the saved games too. I think the saves contain all the information about you, your clothes included. I might be wrong but I wouldn't chance changing anything.

If he doesn't mind losing the saves for a particular profile then go ahead and delete the folder with that name on.
