I don't know what you've done here, or how you've done it, but getting to the exit seemed impossible at first, until I rethought my strategy.

About the Star Option, there's not much you can do.
I face the same dilemma with my levels. You did just fine here!

If you select "Options" in the Main Menu, "Teleport" is set to "Pent".
You can switch this to "Star" to change the appearance of the Teleporter.
