One way didn't use two items.

Yes, the revised level is a bit harder. It now takes 17 seconds.

I could do the first one, but not the revised version.

I thought the first was a neat enough puzzle which took me a couple of tries to get right.

Revised one - I can't liberate the wooden box. It must be a much more complicated thing with the boulders, but I can't see what else to do with them.

I'm in the same boat Liz, can't do the revised one either. I must have done the boulders differently too.

This is not directly a big hint, but could help you on focusing where you need.

Imagine this:
A way around the three gates was added, so you do NOT need the boulders at all. And you can't use them for good.
However, everything else is still intact, including the locked-room mystery (and a gate together with a box still blocks tramping up).
What would you do to get out? Found the jumps?
Now try to do the boulders leaving that escape route possible.

Cool levels - had me noggin scratching for ages! Then it came to me! Did both exactly the same I think and without using the wood boxes
