New Level: Start Here, Head West

Post by Pat » Fri Feb 13, 2004 12:28 am

WARNING, WARNING, WARNING . . . There is an invisible boulder (really, really) in the Exit Room THAT MUST BE USED (really, really). Enjoy the ride . . . . . . .

Okay, Pat, you have me stumped! This is a very challenging level! I typically have problems with electric tiles anyway, so the combination with ice is deadly to me! I can't figure out the gates either; the ones in the lower part of the puzzle are getting to me, . I'll keep working on it, though I may have to ask for a hint. Keep up the good work! 8)

Sharon, if you think this is hard to play, it was even harder to create. Since "angles" throw my brain in a loop, I forced myself to work with them, hoping I'd get some clarity!!! Compared to others of the same type type, this is rather simple, but I am very proud of it. FIRST HINT:

The boulder in upper left is a diversion, please feel free to disregard and head south after you've taken a right off of invisible spot!

Thanks for the hint, Pat. I was killing myself trying to get a second boulder in there! I'll start concentrating on the rest of the puzzle now. Very devious  ! I like this puzzle. It's forcing me to look at it differently to try to solve it! :D

:)
Hey Pat,

I was working on this level when my graphics went skeewiff ( full story on the discussion forum) I had been killed off a good few times.

Managed to get a couple of gates open but that's all!
Fantastic level from you as usual, keep up the good work.

Hopefully I'll be back soon.

cheers
Maureen. :)

Hi MAD,
Any word on when you can expect that card? Make sure it's "Wonderland" compliant before you install! You know, able to handle kabooms, zbots, coilies, scouges, chompers, ufo's, and ghosts along with ice, lava, spikes, water, and especially electric tiles! Must be able to handle tricky situations and hair-tearing puzzles, too.
Pat, I think that's an indication of how good your puzzle is; it frazzled her computer!

Still working on it (when I can beat the rest of the family away from the computer)!

Yup, this is a good one, Pat. I barely got started and would die until I read the hint. Now I get a little closer!!! Fun. :D

Yeah Sam, that's what did it! tee hee. I blame you Pat, my GeForce card was only a year old, poor thing couldn't handle the pressure.

I don't know when I'll receive the new card as the chap has gone away for the weekend (how dare he). I hope that he guarantees it for all those dangerous things you mentioned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so impatient, the only thing left for me to do is read about all the new levels, how frustrating is that?

Anyway, as Arnie says "I'll be back"

Hi MAD,
I'm running a GEForce 2 myself, so it should work. If you don't hear from him by tomorrow (unless he emailed you that he would be out), I would email him and request that he notify you of how and when he is going to ship. If he uses the p.o., then maybe he'll ship Global Priority. That's how I ship. Make sure you allow for time differences. (This is assuming he's in the US. I'm not sure of shipping arrangements from outside the US.) If you don't hear from him by 10 days after you won it, get his contact info and either mail or call him. I've had to do that a couple of times. It usually works for slow shippers and payers. Hope this advice helps.:)

Pat,
Marvelous level! :D I finally finished it! :o Even with the hint it took me a while and I found that good timing was essential! Very fun level. :D Thanks.

Thanks for the info Sam, it's okay I am dealing with a chap from here in the UK. It takes about two days coming from England to Northern Ireland.

If he posts on Tuesday I should have it by Thursday and then...............
YIPPEE!
John (my hubby) has bought me a new TFT monitor (it's coming from Scotland) so Stinky will look all smart and fresh, oh how I miss him

I meant to ask you and the others, have you ever been to the UK?

I have been to the US, it was nearly five years ago.
I have relatives in Indiana, well in saying that I haven't seen them for years, they could be anywhere now.
Excuse me I digress, we flew to Miami then on to Fort Lauderdale where we boarded the ship for a two week cruise around the caribbean.
It was fantastic, I don't know if I could do it again as I am terrified of flying!

I am spouting off rubbish, hope you aren't too bored!

John say's I even talk in my sleep, wonder if I call out for Stinky! haha.

lol

Davimad - - - So, so sorry my level zapped your GeForce card (whatever the heck that is!). I will be more than happy to pay for your replacement. Please let me know how many Rainbow coins will handle it!!! By the way, I was born in Indiana - - - I might be one of those relatives!

Thanx to the rest of you for all your kind and encouraging comments. Also, to those of you who submbitted the Valentine levels - - - they are a big heart-shaped box of pleasure. :D

Not thru it yet, it is a challenge for me.

So far my GeForce has not been zapped, but I have not finished it as yet.
Hope you have lots of those Rainbow Coins in your pocket, thanks for offering!
Good work!
OK, got another? (I bet you do)

Pat,
   GEForce is a video card. Electric tiles are havoc on video cards,  . Just kidding. :D I really liked your levels a lot. I've even created a separate folder for you so that I can find them easily. I've got folders for eeyore31, majic1, DG, LeanDemon, Robbie, ol'gramma, bpurcell, and Dianna, too. So you see, you are in good company! :D
I'm glad you liked the Valentine levels, I did too. Your welcome.

MAD,
I have never been to the UK except for a short wait on a flight returning from Germany when I was a child. I would love to visit if I can ever scrape up the money! :) My husband's family is from somewhere in Ireland and my father's family is from Scotland. So there is interest on our part in that part of the world! Who knows, we might even be distantly related!
Don't worry about your hubby though, just poke him and tell him us Wonderlanders are like that!

ol'gramma,

Green gate

Post by Claudia » Wed Oct 25, 2006 1:23 pm

Hi Pat,

I'm trying to complete this level, but the green gate is driving me crazy. Can't figure out how to get it open. Can you give me a hint?

Hi Claudia :D

I just played it - couldn't cover the green button either - but you don't have to actually. If you are really quick witted and time it just right - you can slide round the z-bot/cannon area and as soon as you slide back around to the top area - run out of the way left from the cannon fire! Quite tricky - but I did it :D

Good luck :D
