How to Create Video Solutions
Today I discovered a FREE utility to record video solutions.
It's called "CamStudio".
You can download the program and it's codec here:
http://www.camstudio.org/CamStudio20.exe
http://www.camstudio.org/CamStudioCodec10.zip
Here is a video sample:
http://www.camstudio.org/video/install
Because of size limitations on hosting websites, you will need the DivX codec to compress the file.
You can get download that here:
http://www.digital-digest.com/software/ ... =622&did=1
After you install the programs, start "Return to Wonderland".
On the splash menu, change "Game Display" to "640 x 480" and "Windowed" by clicking on the text.
Start "CamStudio" and check that it says "Record to AVI" in the white box.
If it says "Record to SWF", then click the round "SWF" button to change it back.
Now click "Region" and "Fixed Range..."
Click "Select" so you can click and drag a window around your "Return to Wonderland" screen.
When you are finished sizing it, click "OK".
Now click "Options" and "Video Options".
Select "DivX;-) MPEG-4 Fast-Motion".
Click "Configure" and slide the "Compression Control" all the way to "Smooth" on the left side, then click "OK" twice.
Click to select the "Return to Wonderland" window and start the level.
Press the F8 key to begin recording and the F9 key to stop recording.
Type a name for your file and save it to your "Desktop".
Create a free account at "www.youtube.com" to upload the file and post the link in the forum.

I started the program too.
I'm creating my own youtube account now.
Shall we tell everyone what level we recorded? In a new topic? Or just in this one?
I'm going to try to make a video on Sunken Paths or Cross Roads. From Wonerland Adventures of course.
I've tried for 5 times but I can't remember whole the solution by heart anymore. It's been too long ago I played it. Sorry. I'll try it again later.
Thanks Mark for the advice!!
[editted] Made my first video now, and created a youtube account! I started my own new topic.
I'll give more details for the video links and others in my topic!
I haven't uploaded a video yet!
So see ya on my topic for some video solutions for Wonderland Adventures

I would post the topic in that specific forum.
For example, if you were trying to show how you solved "Sunken Paths" in "Wonderland Adventures", you would post in the "Level Solutions - Wonderland Adventures" section.
You could create a new post or add it to a previous post for "Sunken Paths".
Or if you were trying to show someone a solution to a level you made, you would "PostReply" on the same topic in the "Puzzle/Action Levels" or "Kid's Levels" section.
Hope that all makes sense.

small problem
I had already installed the DivX codecs.
The one you mention is an old one.
I don't know how to use it. My video files are around 100.000 Kb
Do I need to convert. Can you help me out how to do this, Mark?

If you are selecting "DivX;-) MPEG-4 Fast-Motion" in the "Video Options" as in the instructions above, then CamStudio automatically converts it to DivX for you.

100 Kb is less than 1 MB (very small).
Also, the new DivX 6.6 codec doesn't appear to be compatible with CamStudio.
