New Level (adv) - Pirate Quest 15

Post by Liz Mayhew » Tue Aug 07, 2007 8:16 am

371LIZM - Pirate Quest 15 The Kidnap

Loof escaped from his shackles under the sea and has swum to the surface only to find that Governor Qookie has been kidnapped! :o

Model file includes parrot and screen models by Popo, my screen graphics.

EDIT: I've also posted a revised version without the unnecessary bridge tile, and making it impossible to use the boulder and barrel in the wrong places (I hope). When Stinky puts the barrel in the water, let him stand on it for maximum effect!

Pegnose Peeque, now that's funny. Was really surprised to see a pirate level this morning, you didn't rest very long. You really outdid your self with this one because I don't have a clue. I can get all the coins, get the gen started but I'm sure I'm going about it all wrong since I have blocked the exit and pirate Loof is stuck over yonder.

Need to mow some yard before it gets to hot but I'll be back looking for clues.

I'm clueless too. Got all the coins and bonuses. Got the generator going and the sphere doing it's job. Used the two thingies and the one thingy to get Looflad over to this side but then got nothing left to hold the white gate open. I thought there might be a hidden switch somewhere but haven't found one. :?

Looflad escaped and left Longarm Lutz stuck there. Not that I'm on the Sherrif's side or anything but I think he should be allowed home.

Fun adventure Lizzie!

Loof was able to help Longarm and they're both ready for a rescue mission!

BTW, I didn't use the break-tile, was I supposed to? :D

Thanks,

Told you I was having a mental meltdown. I knew if anyone could get this it had to be Bob. I read and re-read that PM and still it wasn't registering. It's like I knew what had to be done but I just couldn't tell my brain to do it that way.

Well, let me tell you I finally got it..........yippeee, hooray

Another great quest Liz, thank you for the help.

Wonderful!!! I had the hardest time making sure I got the bridge built, but I finally managed. They're off and running now.

This sure was a tricky adventure for Loof-Lad and Longarm. Longarm killed Loof so many times with cannon fire, that Loof almost gave up helping find Qookie. :P Wasn't too sure what the conveyor button was for, since I didn't use it, but the pair made it to the exit anyway!

Thanks!
Lisa

I'm sure enjoying this series Liz. This looked so simple but you had me moving in a few spots. Yup Loof-lad got nabbed a few times with that cannon as well.  Finally smartened up - is that a word

Thanks for another ace puzzler, look forward to seeing where this is going. :P :P

Well, since several people have asked for help, I'm going to embarrass myself by posting my walkthrough.

It's obvious that there are lots of different ways of doing this - looking at Bob's comment about the breaktile, and Lisa's comment about the conveyor button :P :P :P :P
I find it impossible to make a puzzle with only one solution, and I usually find the hardest way to do things - sorry folks!

Don't look if you don't want to.

371LIZM – PQ15 The Kidnap

Walkthrough

1. Get Stinky through the blue TPs, left and then down.
2. Walk round the wall and push the cannon 3 spaces left as a stopper for the blue sphere. Push the sphere right and then down. Quickly push the cannon to the right above the TP, and stand below the conveyor. When the sphere lands left of Stinky, push it right into the barrels and follow, walking round to push the left cannon 5 spaces right, taking care not to shoot Loof.
3. Switch to Loof and as soon as the bridge is complete he walks left and up into the alcove. Leave him there for now.
4. Stinky pushes the remaining barrel down, right and up through the lower TP and into the water. Then push the left cannon right, up through the top TP. Walk down and push it back up through the lower TP and into the water. Push the other cannon left to and use the break tile to push it down, right and up through the lower TP and into the water. The bridge to Loof is now complete.
5. Loof can now collect the right side bonus coin, taking care not to get bouldered. Then he crosses the bridge.
6. Stinky stands on the conveyor button. Loof pushes the boulder left and up and goes to stand on the sign by the parrot. Stinky pushes the boulder left, collects the coins bottom left and goes to stand in the corridor above the white button. Loof pushes the boulder down and left. Stinky pushes it onto the white button.
7. Both can now exit.
EDIT: I've just got this message from Annedanner and you may want to build your bridge this way for the cool effect:
Did you know:
that when building the bridge to Loof if you do the cannons first then the barrel, the barrel explodes and Loof and Stinky can then walk on water!!??

Not using the conveyor or the break tile
Enter the tp from the other side to avoid using the break tile and push the boulder onto the conveyor and have the cannon stop it from going thru the tp the wrong way

Ya know that's what I did also, just in case I needed the break tile more than once or twice in this case. Just didn't think about it afterward. I certainly used that conveyor though.

Wow! This was a doozie sweetie! Thanks to Popo I got the walkthrough this morning, before I even checked here hehehe

My son was doing it without using the break tile also, same as Bob & Monica. We just couldn't figure out that end with the white button.....DUH forgot all about team work!

Great stuff Lizzie busy!

I agree, it was a doozie! I was trying what you described in #3, but was never fast enough to move the cannon above the tp, so I thought I was on the wrong track. Cathy Cutlass's suggestion was just the ticket, much easier! Thanks for the walkthru and thanks to Cathy for her help! Both guys are now taking a rest until the next adventure. Thanks for all the fun, Liz! :D

So easy when you have the walkthrough! I was having trouble covering the white button too! Forgot all about teamwork. Made it through easily thanks to the spoiler!

Very nice addition to the series me harty! Got shot, boulda schmoulda'd (shouldn't have tried to get that right side bonus coin in one swoop  ) and finally the two doodes made it home. I used everything and all the breaktiles too! :D

Sooper dooper - can't wait for the next Lizzie - many thanks :D

:D :D :D Finally got er done thanks to the walk thru, I was making things hard by trying to time the cannon fire instead of doing it the easy way and moving the blasted cannon.

I didn't use the break tiles either since you were nice enough to put the TPs so they were accessible from the top or the bottom.

I forgot all about Looflad up there and until I did was laboring over how to get the white button covered, DOH! Sometimes I wonder about myself.

A very clever addition to the series Liz, I so appreciate your talent and how yo provid3e us with hours of fun, Thanks matey, Arrgh and carry on! :D :D :D

I was doing the dodg'em dance like Kiki (and the timing was too precise and almost impossible) until I read the walkthrough. Very tricky level Liz, thanks bunches.

I was trying to use the grey boulder to explode the barrels (just because it was so conveniently there) but that wasn't working.
Thanks for the spoiler.
My cannons were floating in the air after passing thru the TPs, but I was then able to walk thru them. Cool! 8)
Thanks for another fun one.

Wasn't that cool!! The more you pushed them through (many mistakes) the higher they got......cracked me up! I thought that they might not stop floating up and they'd go right off the screen hehehe but they did stop and it looked like Stinky could walk right under them!

What a dark and stormy scene, perfect for pirating :!:

I had one heck of a time with this one, even with the walkthrough
Did the same mistake Kiki did, trying to cover the white button... though I'm not suprised at myself

Thanks again for all the fun and adventure, time to sail onward Image

Ahoy me hearties!

For them as want another little revision, I've edited this one so that there's no unnecessary bridge tile, and the barrel and boulder can't be used in the wrong places. Hopefully you also have to use the conveyor button, but I could be wrong there!

Off out now! See ya tomorrow :D :D
