364LIZM - Pirate Quest 8 Beating the Swordmaster

Loof has had some good tuition from Cutlass Cathy and feels able to face the Swordmaster again. 8)

Using the same model file (PQ1M) which has been used in the last 2 levels.
Using the same house model (LizSwordH) used in Pirate Quest 6.

Download here if you need to:

And here's an informative picture in case any of you are wondering later in the level.

Oh dear, poor Loof Lad is black and blue from being hit by those boulders. I can't get passed the first part at all. Tried pushing the boulder in the water, tried letting the other thing happen naturally. He gets squashed no matter what I do. The Swordmaster is getting very impatient, tapping her foot and rolling her eyes at me. Heeeelp!! :(

Lizzie, you're a scream. Those signs are hilarious

Loof-Lad needed a few times to master the sphere-transporter combo. After that it's been pretty straightforward. He picked up his T-shirt and is now on his way to the treasure hunt.

Thanks for the fun :D

Flippie - did you get the yellow button covered? That's what the yellow spheres are for.

HELP FOR YELLOW SPHERES
Push right sphere down and step left out of the way. The sphere rolls back into the water.

Slide down and round the ice from the right hand wall and push the rightmost sphere up - it ends up at the right hand side. Push it into the water.

This bit is slightly tricky. Collect the coins and stand left of the lower sphere. Push it right and immediately change to Qookie. As soon as the sphere goes through the yellow gate, step Qookie left onto the conveyor.

When the sphere stops at the house, move Qookie back onto the yellow button and switch back to Loof. Repeat the process so the yellow button is covered by the last sphere.

With Qookie still standing on the conveyor button, Loof can walk up to the right of the red sphere, push it left into the water and go get the bonus coins and T-shirt.

They can both now walk up and right to the exit in the house door.

Yowza! Yellow spheres my hiney! I'm still stuck on the beginning blue sphere's. Is it just that you need fast fingers or am I doing sumpin' wrong?
I'm pushing the sphere and just standing there waiting for it to come back and knock the boulder onto the button. Then once filled I try and get to the next nitch but keep getting boulderized!

Is that the right way to start?

Hey Liz,

Just finished! This was fun and your conversations between Qookie and Loof are hilarious. I loved the ending - I've felt that way many times! Looking forward to #9.

Yep you're doing sumpin' wrong. I took forever to realise what you have to do.
Push the boulder in the water too, and when the transporter comes back wait for the 5th sphere to drop into the water at the other end, that's two full tiles and the bottom one. Then step on the transporter. As soon as the next sphere fills up the hole at the side of the gate, step left into the space and wait for the sphere to open the gate.
The next bit's a doozy as well.

Oh my Popo, I shoulda come back here a few min. earlier. After I had posted that I figured it out, totally by accident. Now I'm at the yellow spheres and got squished! UGH restart again! I refuse to look at the yellow sphere spoiler, yet, I gotta try it on my own.

Those signs are HYSTERICAL!!!!!

Ok I'm goin' back in.

Oh and thanks Popo so much for trying to help!

Edit: Woooo whoooo I got yellow on me own...........arrrrrrrrrr that was a doozie Lizzeroonie! Love the signs and love the prize at the end. I could use one of those! Got out with me gold and am anxiously awaiting the next adventure in this super dooper series!

I haven't felt this silly since my dad gave me a firecracker and I thought it was a candle... :?

Lovely opening move, but I don't seem to be fast enough to make it out of there once the boulders start flying. Is it a matter of Speed, Swiftness or Something else??

Hi Mahaloof! No, you don't have to be specially quick with the opening moves. This is what you do:
Push the sphere onto the transporter and the boulder in the water. When the transporter returns with the next sphere, step on that. Then count 5 spheres going into the water. Step on the transporter. When the 6th sphere goes into the water step down and left into the wall alcove.
If anyone needs more help I have the complete walkthrough. :D
