375LIZM - Pirate Quest 19 The Circus

Loof-Lad is off to join the Circus to earn enough money to get that ship and rescue Governor Qookie.
Introducing the Circus Master - the Magnificent Markini!

Clues are left around here and there which you may use or ignore.

EDIT: The ending is a bit stinky on this one - sorry folks. So I've posted a version with an easy ending if you prefer.

I must have started this one well over 50 times. Looflad has motion sickness from bouncing about so much, and the Magnificent Markini keeps getting in the way.

Well, I had a break and got my shepherd's pie on the go, and when I came back I did everything right for a change. Looflad did the star jump to the exit without a problem, but the Magnificent Markini isn't exactly svelt is he so he couldn't jump high enough and got more than a little singed.

He's gone to the medical tent to have a burn dressing put on it but he says he will be back for the evening performance when hopefully he will be careful to jump a bit higher.

Brilliantly devilish level Lizzie - I don't think I've cursed so much in my life. Come back Loopdeloop, all is forgiven.

Oooh, forgot to say brilliant texture too.

Liz this texture is totally awesome

You nailed the atmosphere perfectly.

Did a bit of cursing myself after getting bowled over

winged by cannon fire

and zapped by crystals

so many times.

Just couldn't seem to keep out of "somethings" way

And I enjoyed every bit of it, this was definately worth the wait. Thank you for an awesome puzzler.

An amazing texture! And one humdinger of a level. Loof-Lad is glad he's going into Pirate-ing instead of the circus work, because he's dizzy! (Just hope he's not seasick at all!)

Loof had the hardest time juggling the red spheres, and the last flamethrower sure liked to singe his behind!

I had so many restarts with this, I've been playing off and on all day. Not sure I did it the way you intended. Got stumped on the box at the green gate. But Loof says the circus isn't for him he kept saying it was way to high, and Magnificent Markini is missing Loop the Loop Loraie pretty bad, but the little pirate isn't done yet.

He collected all the loot and got to the end but can't figure out how to start his new quest because we just don't understand. I see all the stars on the floor but just don't see any way to tramp to the end. I don't understand the star. Sniff-sniff I can get everything, I just don't know how to get the boys to the exit.

The sign says "you can't outrun the cannon, you can *star* jump it. That's the part I don't understand.

You out-jump the cannon fire like this:

Stand right of the trampoline. As soon as you see the cannon fire on the star tile, jump the trampoline. The fire misses you.

Thank you Liz. I just got done playing it again, kept making some of the stupidest mistakes and finally got both to the end and Markini was standing there at the hallway thinking he just might try to outrun it, maybe the tramp down there had something to do with it, but just in case I checked my email and sure enough. But Markini still took one in the behind.

I'll give it a go tomorrow, I'm done for today, I'm tired and making to many mistakes. Be fresh in the morn. Thank you for the help.

Forgot to mention the tent texture is awesome, I just love it, makes a stinker feel like he's really under the bigtop.

Please get word to The Magnificent Markini of the Wonderland Circus that I'm OK, but seem to have been stranded on a strange island in the middle of the ocean. My coordinates are unknown, so I can't tell you how to find me. Please don't give up looking for me. I miss the circus so!

Whew..........what a stinker of an ending. I was really confused since the sign said that the cannon couldn't be out run so I thought there was supposed to be another way. Finally after about 6 more re-starts this morning the little pirate is on his way to another quest and magnificent markini is relieved it's over.

Will Loof-Lad be able to find Loop-the-Loop Loirae? At least we know she's still alive since she sent a note in a bottle.

I enjoyed this one Liz, I think it was one of the hardest so far. Thank you.

I kinda feel like a goober here. I can't figure a way to set up the prisms to get the box that blocks the six coins. Is that what I'm supposed to do? I tried jumping in there but even with the gate open I splat at the gate spot when jumping into that area....help please?

You need to do a bit of cunning manoeuvring of the cannon,

hide it in the wall at the bottom of the gate, then the right hand prism can be moved just under the left hand one and will fire at the box. Don't move the top one and get out of the way.

I must be missing something with the ending, if you go right after the cannon fires you have time to make it to the exit, but you have to be quick!

Lots of fun putting everything in place, even though I did get caught a few times by the boulders!

What a dangerous circus

Loof-Lad did the jumping fine, but he and Markini had some trouble with the prisms - can't count how often they stood in the line of fire

They also got bouldered by the spheres a few times.

Don't know what's the problem with the exit. Loof-Lad and Markini both have been fast enough to outrun the cannon fire.

Yowza I won't admit to how many restarts...after asking about how to get the box blown up I read all the comments about the exit and was really worried. I got Loof out no problem but forgot to send the thingy back for Peegue

Finally did it right and got out! Oh, and I didn't use the sphere's exactly like you suggested but it all worked out well

Beautiful level and lots of fun even though it took me lots longer than everyone else

I sure hope we can see this circus a few more times...just beautiful Lizzie!

Sure hope we find Looptheloop Loirae! I'm goin' swimmin' to see if I can find her

I did some fast foot work and just beat the cannon fire.

Bobster and Lutzie could both outrun the cannon fire. I never could when testing it.

That's the penalty of having arthritis and being old I guess

What are you talking about? You didn't 'mess up the ending' at all, Lutz, Keeks and myself are all guys, which means our playing hand is generally limber and kept in good shape

I won't go into more details in case there are children reading this!

No way, ya didn't mess up a thing! That ending was ok for me too. If ya just kinda walk into the trail of the cannon fire you make it out JUST in time. Gotta love those close calls hehehe

Oh and Bob....I ain't no boy and keep that same hand in shape in a whole different manner heheheheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I had far more trouble with the first part than the last. Manouevering those prisms and the canon had me going a little bonkers.

was using prisms to fill the water hole and to cover the buttons, and finally realized getting rid of a few spheres made things much easier!!

As for Bob, Robyn and Kiki....too much information!!

I know you're fast alsleep on your side of the pond.. I'll keep workin gon it through the night .. but any help would be appreciated.

I've managed to get the green gates open and Loof did his jumping sequence .. I'm assuming the cannon has to go back into the main room and shoot the prisim so the generator gets started .. but from there I'm clueless

I use the spheres as per the hint on the level, but I know some others have been using prisms and getting rid of some of those dangerous spheres.

Thanks so much for the help, Liz! I was doing things backward and of course it didn't work. Finally Loof-lad and Markini worked together to earn their money and headed out with the gold. Thanks for the help and loads of fun!
