Hey Robbie, just want to say I got your reply and I saw your beautiful background here.

I just want to mention to everyone that for the next month or so I'll be a little slower to respond to, for a number of reasons. First, I'm no longer at the place where I used to have an always-on, fast Internet access. Second, having gotten some stuff in my non-Wonderland aspect of life out of the way, I now have some more free time, and most importantly, a bit less on my mind. So some of the free time I would devote to my other interests besides Wonderland. And of the time I'll devote to Wonderland, now that I have less on my mind, there are one or two projects I want to undertake that's not directly involved with posting models as I've done here. In particular, since I have a computer science background:

1) I see the utility of custom floors, but right now there're only 2 size available to the end-user: my 6x6 for Robbie's intro, and Popo's 10x10 from her Monopoly level. Of course, I could make more sizes, but even better, I'm thinking of writing a program the end user can run to generate a custom floor of any size.

2) After some thought I believe I have a way of writing a program to eliminate that dreaded "reverse vertex order" problem once and for all.

[Don't expect completion on either project until at least after 2 months from now. Hey, good things come to those who wait, right? ]

-----

So for all those reasons I might be slower to respond than before.

Here're some hurried replies for now:

1) Robbie: I can PM you the exact dimensions of my custom background model if you need it. The z is set to -49.9 rather than -50, to avoid that problem janetgalle had w/ the intro custom floor before Popo fixed it.

2) Popo: I've played around with your hot air balloon model. I've shrink the canopy down to a smaller size so you can always see the whole thing in Wonderland. However, it's definitely true that because of the way the camera's set up in Wonderland, it might be hard to use that model well even with certain stuff shrunk down. Anyway, I'll post some screenshots later today to show it looks at this point, and see what people have to think about the size.

I'll definitely try to readjust the skinning so that the canopy is customizable.

About the custom floors, I think my snakes and ladders board was 16 x 16, or maybe 13 x 13. I know it's bigger than the monopoly board, anyhow.

If you can eliminate the 'reverse vertex order' that would be magic. :D

I've installed AC3D today and had a play with it. For ready made models I think I prefer Milkshape (even with it's touchiness), but for models from scratch AC3D does seem a lot better. I tried that 'solid of revolution' thing you mentioned. It's good. 8)

Of course the unlicensed version hasn't got all the features so that might be why I prefer Milkshape.

That would be great, I've wished for small "platforms", say 2x2, just to put one item on.

Take your time and please know that all your efforts are greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
