New Level (adv) - Martin Snodgrass

Post by bob roest » Fri Oct 05, 2007 3:04 am

I couldn't think of a level name.

Lots of jumping.

I have a feeling it may not be easy.

Hey Bob,

I really, really enjoyed this level that you made. Tricky jumping involved and very doable. Thanks!

Well Bob, you have been busy! Since I played last you've made about 4 or 5 new levels. I've got a lot to catch up on.

This one was so much fun. Loads and loads of restarts of course, and that last coin by the gate had me stumped for the longest time.

Eventually

Ace jumping fun - loved the generator action.

Thanks Bobster! :piratewink:

In the beginning, I was doing the right things, but in the wrong order. Finally got the order right and flew to the gold. Of course, I got bouldered a few times. Great fun, Thanks Bob! :D

ORDER! ORDER! ORDER! was very important - I learnt the hard way! Image

Finally got my order in order and made it home! :D Didn't use the breaktiles by the exit/travelators but I think that is why I got so Image'd

Great fun Bobster and I look forward to your next creation Mr Tunapants!

Again, I'm baffled by a Bob R. level. But I'll get it... eventually.. 8)

Amazing that you should name a level after Martin Snodgrass. Just the other day I was thinking about what has become of him. I'll explain for the others: Mr Snodgrass (or Snotgras in Dutch) was a magician in the 1970's, and a pretty good one too. However, he got tired of the old tricks, and competition was on the rise anyway, so Martin decided to change tactics. He reversed all the old tricks, with some astounding effects. For example, he had two half ladies which he then made whole again. No, not with a saw, obviously..
Or: he would throw a deck of cards over his shoulder, letting them choose a member of the audience...
Martin was quite succesful, until the day he decided to pull a hat out of a rabbit. First of all, it did look a bit nasty, but when people discovered Martin needed a new rabbit with every performance, there was a major uproar and his career ended right there. (Which was the reverse of what Martin intended, so in a way it was fitting).
Many years later I saw him in the park pulling an ear out of somebody's coin. On his magician's chest it said "Ssargdons the Magnificent".

Uh, I totally screwed this level up. I got one coin and bounced my way out

I guess the point is to collect the coins and bonus's first huh?

I'm obviously doing something wrong

The walkthrough:
Tramp U, L, R into red tp, step on conveyor twice.
Push box down, then up.
Push keg down, tramp D, D, U, D, U, and push keg onto conveyor.
Push box through yellow tp and go back onto conveyor and go down and tramp over to land behind the box.
Box in water, raft down and go through yellow tp.
This part is tricky, push boulder down and follow, push boulder to destroy the red sphere and immediately step right onto the breaktiles and tramp D, U, L
Take raft left quickly, pick up coins and push keg through red tp.
Fill waterhole at the top with red spheres and get the coin.
Push red sphere down into red tp.
Walk around and down into yellow tp, raft down and right.
Tramp U, U, D, D, L, R.
There may be another way but that's how I do it! :D

Jeepers Chimney Sweepers!

Without that walkthrough, I don't know if I ever would've gotten this... :?
I have a feeling it may not be easy.
Well, I'll say one thing: I have a feeling it may not be easy..

Now I'm patiently waiting for your new level called "Albert Einstein".   :D

I am certain I wouldn't have gotten this without the walkthru... I am proud to say that I only read the first few lines then went back and had at it... came out with the gold!

Awesome level. Thanks!

Hmmm....I had all that, maybe not in the sme order as you did. I know the part you called tricky was one part I could cetainly do without any trouble.

This was great fun Bob. thanks

Fun Bob, I had it correct until the part where you said, "tricky" and then I was beaten to death. Probably couldn't have done it without the walkthru either!

Still LOADS of fun!

Thanks :D :D :D
