Moving user profiles
I have a question. What I want to do is install the user profile information on my RTW game onto my son's computer.
I have installed the game. Moved the Custom Levels folder...and intend on moving the Custom Backgrounds, Models, Houses & Textures too.
There are two "players" files that I also moved. Mine and my son's.
Is there anything else I need to move so that his stuff will match my stuff? I see that there are numerous .dat files within the RTW folder. Do those need to get copied too?

Popo I took your advise and moved the whole dang folder. Took forever but its all in there.
I still have a problem though. The play action is very jerky and slow. I got him a new video card last night and installed it. Same thing slow and jerky. None of the other games on that computer are like that.
I reallocated his virtual memory and still same thing.
Got any more suggestions for me, please?

Yep it is a video card issue. Has nothing to do with how or what I do with the program. UGH back to the dang store (30 miles away) and get a better video card.
I was just hoping to get away with a cheap video card on his computer but I guess not if we want Wonderland on there
Thanks

A lot of the jerkyness is to do with what's in the level. The more there is going on, or if it's an ernormous leve, the more it will jerk. If it's an old computer it's likely to be a combination of graphics card and memory.
Could you try deleting some of the levels he's already done to make it more streamlined?

It's definately the video card.
I un-installed the game and removed all the custom stuff...well moved it not removed it.
It's an older computer that I built. The video card was old. Got another used video card. Just not good enough. He has plenty of memory and a fast enough processor and a huge HD on it. It's just the video card
I even tried doing a level on it that didn't have any custom stuff at all and it was the same.
Thanks for the suggestion though. I tried everything because I didn't want to have to get another video card for just one game LOL! I'm kinda cheap that way hehehe

Robyn, I have a distant recollection that Patrick brought out an update to RTW for problems with GE-Force (whatever they are called) video cards
Maybe try pm-ing him or look on MS Homepage before you go buying another one

I really really love the fish tank!!!
I just went and returned the first video card I bought (only 8mg) and went out and got another one (128mg) and it works fine. It didn't even really cost much either....I think it was about $40
Thanks though
