New level (Advanced) - Indiana Stinky 3

Post by Valco »

Hey everybody! It's the level you've all been waiting for, the latest addition to the Indiana Stinky series, Indiana Stinky 3! :D In the second-last level of the series, Indiana Stinky must navigate the aqauducts of Airyman: The underground city of gold! This level also requires the Piazza texture. Enjoy, and remember to comment! :)

Nice level. clever idea's! :D

I only wonder if it's possible to do it with time on, for sometimes I had to wait for gate several minutes when a kaboom was lost for a while. Or do you have some trick for that?

Thanks for the fun! :D

The way to do the level within the time limit is to trap two kabooms in the area with the blue and red switches. This can be difficult to do racing against time though, but I didn't try to make it easy! You'll also need to keep all the Kabooms alive, which is much simpler.

Yes, with some kind of glitch, travelling directly after a box holding the arrow key and releasing that key at the right moment. That's what Shadow (Muzozavr) me told a few months ago :D

I remember the following move but that still only gets you to the middle or is there another glitch to avoid the fire by the yellow tps.?

Actually never mind I have another idea.

Edit: I ended up with one kaboom doing all the work at the end but it worked and I finally got the gold.

Thanks,

There are no glitches in Wonderland. Only advanced puzzle elements. 8)

Come on guys, I need your feedback before I can release Indiana Stinky 4. (It's not done yet, but I don't want to release until I know that a lot of people have finished the prerequisite levels.)

If ya want me to finish I need to even know where to start. :? I can get a box up to extinguish the flame and collect those bonus coins and I'm assuming the cannon over yonder is used to destroy the boxes on the tramps but I can't get that cannon to all of them. A complicated level takes time to play Valco...don't get your knickers in a wad. I tend to play easier levels first and come back to the more complicated that I can't fathom out.
Throw out some more hints.....Toss us a few bones....

Here we go again, and I apologize for my lack of patience. :(
To complete the level, you require all of the boxes to cross the water at the end. You also need to keep the Kabooms alive, and as you correctly guessed, use the green cannon to destroy the boxes on the trampolines. How to get the bonus coins still remains a secret though!
No rhyme this time.

Hey, that rhymed!

I can destroy all the boxes with the cannon but unfortunately I killed one of the boomers but thought I'd still tramp down to the right and see what all the hoopla was about.
I did get two of the bonus coins in the center.

I noticed that if you time it so that when you send the box across the cannon destroys the box and the travelator stops right there thus allowing you to collect the bonus coins when you go back around. But you can't do it that way since you need the boxes to get to the exit.

Is something supposed to hold down the pink button? If so what? How do you get the boxes to the water holes near the exit?

Questions...questions...I do believe the only way I will ever finish this is with a walkthru, the only area I can do is the boomer area and the other bonus coin area

Here's the walkthrough you so desperately need:
Go directly to the Kaboom area without interacting with any objects. Destroy the first 4 boxes, but don't let the cannon destroy the fifth; it holds down the pink button. Cross the water via the trampolines and get both travelators from any of the waterways to the other side, by using one then going over the trampolines and repeating with the other. Push a box over one transporter and put yourself on the one before. Push the box to the corner where the teleporters are, and go through the invisible walls to the other teleporter. Push the box past the gates (you will have to wait for them to be opened by the Kabooms; faster if you trapped two of them in with the blue & red switches) and into the water. Repeat this process.
You'll have to figure out those last bonus coins by yourself though!

Bob I seen your qoute there and I'm just wondering where the boulders are.....you must be seeing things my dear because I see no boulders in this level.

Valco, I never even thought about leaving the one box on the pink...duh

Will try this again after a bit, I've been busy today..cleaning...Thanks for the walkthru, I see what your saying about the boxes and the travelator.

Only three other people have posted so far, figured I'd revive the thread. It doesn't say anything against that on the rules, does it?

Nice Level Valco!!! Very nice textures too!
Constructive comment:
1) The fake walls besides the yellow transporter are not needed
2) You could have the 3 tiles with the coins to the right cracking only once instead of twice!

As i mentioned in our private message, I do many of the things in my levels just for appearance. So the walls are fine. However, thank you for spotting the unnecassery bridges. What is missing from your constructive comment however is something positive! The truth is that anything can be improved by telling people where they are wrong. It is also true that everything can be accomlished by telling people where they are right.
But thanks for your review anyway; I'm glad you enjoyed the level.

Yay...I finally did it, I was having a heck of a time with those boomers and that cannon so I tried playing with the time off cause I kept running out of time and when I went back in I forgot to switch the timer back off. So I barely made it to the end. I even got the bonus coins in the center...piece of cake, thanks for the tip Marinus.

I had figured it out earlier with the bonus coins anyway. This was a very tedious level Valco....Thanks...

Couldn't you post that in the other thread?

Come on, I don't want this to be higher on the forum than the fourth. No one will find it.

Valco, I am still working on this stinkeroonie!

I worked out fairly early on what to do with the cannon/jumps/etc. But doing it is another matter. Every time at least one kaboom gets killed, or Stinky gets killed riding the rafts.

This is a really unusual level. Fascinating and frustrating at the same time.

One day I may do it, but I have to admit that after failing about 5 times I give up and try a different level. Next day I go back and try again.

Thanks to hints above and substantial help from Monica I've now finished this one. Phew!!!!!

Very clever effect with the transporters - I liked that a lot. :D :D

I had to turn the timer off because I found it took ages for the helpers to make their rounds. A lot of patience was needed doing this procedure 4 times, there AND back. (Well the 4th time you don't have to go back  ) Also the movements of the kabooms was quite unpredictable. Sometimes they would force each other to change directions and sometimes they would blow themselves up.

Looking forward to more of your clever stuff Valco. Maybe a bit smaller next time? :stinkycool:
