The same movement in the opposite direction physically counteracts the original movement, which means you're right.

(That was a joke, it'll be even more funny, if I'm actually right)
I couldn't think of one...or I would've!
This is for anyone; not only for you and Marinus.
Riddle:
There is a barrel with no lid and some wine in it. "This barrel of wine is more than half full," said Curly. "No it's not," says Mo. "It's less than half full."
Without any measuring implements and without removing any wine from the barrel, how can they easily determine who is correct?
Actually I couldn't guess this when I first encountered it, so I'm simply in the know, sorry. I guess I'll skip my turn.
However, as a way to point out that I do know, I'll have to say that such a solution will not work if the barrel has an irregular shape.

Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.

If so you ask.
You sloooooowly tilt the barrel until the wine just touches the top of barrel, if the other end of the wine JUST touches the bottom of the barrel, it's exactly half full, if it doesn't reach the bottom, then it's less than half, and if it actually covers some of the bottom, then it's more.
Not going to go nuts with a yet ANOTHER "opposite" -- that's simply too evil! Here's a selfmade riddle with a deliberate giveaway to make it easier:
I can devour everything I touch
For me a forest isn't much
I can be harnessed, but I can kill
And only you know, if I will
But if you see that things go bad
You only have one thing to add
Give me drink... and I will die:
Dare you say it: WHO AM I?!

Is the answer to yours:
1. Are you a fire?
Fire, yes.
Did you guess it from the line "Give me drink"? Yeah, I know it.
If I'd give you the first verse only, it would be much harder. That's because I created this riddle specially for an online-riddle-game-in-the-making, and reaching a "brick wall" at level 7 doesn't make sense, so I added the second verse to make it easier. It worked, didn't it?

You have 27 marbles and 4 cups. Put an odd number of marbles into each cup.
For the cup-in-cup-trick-lovers: sorry, the cups are bolted to the table.
Sorry, dlcs, it was incorrect before.
