New Level (adv) - Three Go Safely

Post by bob roest » Sun Nov 09, 2008 4:05 pm

There's a rafting feature in here that might be a bit tricky, but it is do-able, trust me. :D

I'm using majic's snazzy new 'MyCastle' texture, thank-you!

I'm not usually bothered if I don't get a huge response to one of my levels but this is ridiculous.

I have to assume the cannon part is just too over-the-top sokobanie so I have amended it. It's way easy now! :D

I'll leave the original for those with time on their hands.

This one was easy.
In the first version I have no idea how to get the cannons circling on the ice. Got a maximum of three up there :?
Thanks for the update :D

:D :D :D Well it took me most of last night and most of this evening but I got those cannons going...all five on them.
I almost had it last night but made a dumb mistake with a crucial raft
Got it in only a few restarts this time.
Seriously that was a hell of a puzzle and really puts you to the test in rafting.
Off to check the easy one now!
Thanks for the level bud! :D :D :D

Edit - What a difference one tramp makes, got er done on my first try.
I am proud to have solved the original.

With the exception of Kiki, I'm very disappointed in all of you!

I have the walk-through for the original cannons ready, all you had to do was ask. It only took me 12 hours to work it out!

Okay, but you'll be kicking yourselves for not having seen it, here we go:

-collect coins, destroy boxes
-leave the first raft far left
-raft R, U, cannon L.
-raft R, L, D, cannon L.
-raft R, U, D, L, push top cannon L
-raft R, U, L, D, step R, raft D, L
-push cannon on ice, raft R, U
-push cannon over tramp
-step back, take raft D, R, U, step L, D, R, step up L, D
-step L, raft D, step down, raft L, U, R, D, step D and repeat
-raft behind cannon, push cannon L
-step back on raft, go around and push cannon on ice slide
-raft R, D, L, U, continue to raft clockwise until one raft is at the top of the middle canal and the other is at the bottom
-step U, walk R, raft D, L, raft L, go behind last cannon, push up tp square above ice patch
-walk back down to the raft by conveyors and come back up to stop just below the bottom tramp, watch for cannon fire, good time to grab those bonus coins
-take raft in front of cannon D
-step R, raft U, L, D, step D, raft R, U, L, step D, R, U, step L, D, R, U, step U, L, D, R, step U, raft back down, stay on raft and go L, tramp down
-once again start rafting clockwise until one raft is at the top and one at the bottom, you need to be on the bottom raft
-raft behind cannon, push cannon L and onto ice slide

I can't believe you guys didn't see this! It's as obvious as can be!

p.s. I like the revised version better...

Done it, but I don't see any importance to the cannons - just drown two of them and avoid the others, what's the big deal?

:D :D Nice level! I used two persons for the rafting, I think that's a bit easier. But I used the cannons to go round for that was the intended way 8) Thanks1 :D :D

Didn't you need them to keep the conveyors stopped so you could get the coins?

Why, I have more than one character - one was stepping on the timer, then the other collected the coins.

What other character? Three exit at the beginning.

Only Peegue does, then either Loof or Qookie can exit at any time to get the coin down by the boulder. Two characters remain.

Looks like you took the easy way Amnon, the challenge is to get all five cannons onto the timer loop.
Now that is a big deal!
Chow baby! :D :D

And why not?

Nobody told me otherwise and anyway, playing Wonderland makes my work fall behind, so I rather exit quickly and lose less time.

2 great lvls,
I did them both the way I *think* you ment them to be done, but also did a third way that involved 2 cannons being pushed into the water to make a walkway.

It was just the question what you meant with: "Three Go Safely" I thought it meant that Peegue had to sacrifice himself by blowing the boomers, so three can stay and go safely. 8) :D

Beside that, I pushed the box bottom left of the ice circle into the waterhole at the right of the blue gate, and to do that you need three persons. I thought that was the intended way  :D

I thought the title was sort of an indicator that three characters take the safe route and leave Stinky behind to fight his way home but I guess not.

Oh well...

Finally finished these two. Finished the second one first, it was so much easier with the cannons.

On the original, I"m sorry but I had to have Qookie stick around and help poor Stinky, I tried following your directions but well, I'm just not good with directions, especially when there's so many, I kept forgetting which raft was supposed to go where.

On the up and up these were fun figuring out. I thought Peegue had the coolest part. I've never seen that one before. Thanks so much Bob.
