I'm embarrassed to ask this so soon in the game but I cannot get those springs pointed in the right direction to get a path to the east. I'm pretty sure I know where I need to go but.....

Ok, here you go

To get the gems, you need to bounce from the right one to the left one and hit the upper one of the three you can move. To get further on, you need to bounce from right, to the upper one and to the one on the left, who shall point right.
