Can somebody how to operate the buttons? I'm stumped.

You can only operate one at a time. They openes one by one after completing adventures in the area

Acid Lake is the adventure, with scritter, spike and transporters
Acid Pools is the area, here are also buttons activated after each other

Is it the adventure?
just pop the button and the transporter goes
But remember choose wisely cos you only have 9 pops
and you need 1 pop when you are back with the scritter = great hint

Thanks Erwin, I was at the wrong place.

Acid lake is very difficult!!! A lot of POPing to do.

The goal is to set up the transporters, so that both spikey and scritter rides to the small Island in the middel. Use the scritter to lead the spikey over first, then the scritter next. There shall be another transporter North of it, the scritter must lead spikey on it.

Let me know if it helps, so you can figure the rest yourself

It helps. All I needed to now is that both scritter and spikey have to go to the island!

I am a bit stuck here. Some help would be appreciated. I understand the spikey needs to go to the centre island first and that the scritter needs to get it there. I have the two (orange) transporters in place but they face opposing directions. Firstly, am I setinmg this up correctly? Second, if so there doesnt seem to be enough time to get the second transporter turned and the scritter across. What am I doing wrong?

OK I got the next stage and sent the spikey North. How the heck do I return to the East to get to the star?????

you should have reserved a transporter at the bottom where the scritter is

Do anyong think Alfie's trick will work for me - post a question just short of throwing the mouse out the window, and then find the answer?!

The nearest I can get to spikey going North is round in circles on the island, else I'm a POP shy of what I need. Aaaargh!

I have a tip - don't even bother with it, cheat it. You don't have any coins to collect, or gems either, you only get the star, which you will get even if you cheat it. I cheated it the first time, even though I worked the transporters out, when I noticed there was nothing else to gain. I've just replayed it and gained a big fat 0 so playing it yourself is a waste of time unless you just want the satisfaction of knowing you did it.

I know. I'm sad.

This is from memory so don't shoot me if I miss something.

send orange right, send yellow up, change pink to orange, send both oranges left/right, turn oranges so one is up and one is down, and send them to meet in the middle. Turn oranges to the left/right. You should have the top one pointing left and the bottom one pointing right.

I think that's right.

I have managed to get spikey to first island, and myself back to get scritter on transporter, but he just sits there, and then the spikey falls in the water. Is pauline's hint acurate or is something pointing the wrong way. Or am I doing something wrong?
