Ques... about my cpu and RTW.
I am having so much touble finishing W10 L5, that I am wondering, does anyone think that it is possible, that since this game is a few years old, it was designed for computers with slower cpu's than what is available today? In other words, my computer has a faster cpu than was anticipated when the game was made, and as a result, I cannot pass the ufos without getting zapped. )I have tried this level at least 50 times, and I have read the advice in the other threads about how to avoid getting killed by the ufo, but all to no avail.) Thanks ahead to everyone who answers me.

perhaps i am looking for an excuse
Yup, Marinus, that is indeed the (evil) level i am talking about. I only ask this question because i have only been able to get past that ufo once, or twice, out of 50 or so tries. (And one needs to do it twice in this level.) The reason I ask is, someone once told me that, certain levels of Chip's Challange and Supaplex could not be played on modern computers, because modern computers speed up the game, while key strokes will remain the same speed. I am fairly certain, tho, that I am just looking for an excuse for not being able to beat this frustrating level.

Chip's Challenge is CPU-independent, unless you're talking about a very obscure version. The reason I ask is, someone once told me that, certain levels of Chip's Challange and Supaplex could not be played on modern computers
Supaplex however does speed up to unplayability, but it's an easily noticable one. You barely press a key and bam you're on the other side of the field.
Wonderland is CPU-independent.
Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.
