Help for RTW W8L1

Post by ginnie_t » Sat Jan 22, 2005 6:38 pm

I have 2 frustrations that I can't seem to master:
1) How do you get the yellow button to stay off when the spaceship keeps blowing it up? I've tried every way I can think of to put a barrel on it, but I can't see a way to get out of the room without the spaceship firing at Stinky!
2) How do you unlock W8 The Rainbow World? Even though it shows that I completed W8L1 with the cheat CTRL F9, it won't unlock!
Thanks for any help with these!

Hi Ginnie,

Welcome to the Wonderland Forum

In answer to your two questions,

1. For the yellow button - build the bridge across off center - say 1 position to the left.
Then you must get a barrel to the left of the yellow button then another barrel into the previous area and to the left.
Now you can place this barrel in the center, go over your bridge and finally push the earlier mentioned keg onto the yellow button.
When you go onto the conveyor belt the UFO will only get off 1 shot - this will blow up the top Keg and leave the keg on the yellow button intact

2. There are no other levels to 'unlock' - complete this level and it's CONGRATULATIONS :P

Not quite, you do have to have completed all levels in previous worlds as well to advance to the next world, which is the end of game sequence. But there are no further levels.

:P

Thank you SO MUCH Malcdelsol! I felt like an IDJIT myself when I read your solution! I had tried EVERYTHING but that! Of course, it helps if you have enough boxes and barrels to accomplish your solution, and I had been blowing up the boxes incorrectly all along. Once I did that differently, your solution made more sense. I'm amazed that it took someone from Spain to help me out! Gracias!

Hi Ginnie,

'You are welcome' or as we say here in Spain - 'De Nada'

CONGRATULATIONS on completing the game

Hi Ginnie,
I was also stuck in this level. I had done everything else including bonus coins, but this rainbow look really gets to me. Then I saw your cry for help and was relieved that I was not the only one struggling and decided to give it another go. And now I've done it  ! Thanks :D
Mette

Btw how do I create this very annoying rainbow look in the editor? Just in case I feel the urge to make a really evil level one day  ?

Have you found all the clues Mette? How to make rainbow levels is one of them.

Give me a PM if you want any help. :D

Mette, to create rainbow texture: (highlight to read)
(If you don't want to read it, then don't)
1. In the editor, press Ctrl-F6.
2. Two more objects will appear in the objects toolbox. Place the Rainbow W object somewhere.
3. Set the background to Rainbow. (You must do it, else the rainbow texture won't appear!)
4. That's it! Now continue with the level.

The rainbow texture will appear everytime you place the Rainbow W object somewhere, no matter which style the level is, as long as your background is set to Rainbow.

Hi if then... I'm not sure you realise this thread is over a year and 8 months old. I realise you are making a helpful offer, but do you think maybe dropping a pm to the member interested would be a better way to handle this than reopening these old threads.
I'll just about bet in the last year and 8 months this issue has been resloved or forgotten. :D :D :D

Hi If Then, thanks for the hint on how to do rainbow levels. I am new to level making and had wondered how this was done. Any other hints would be appreciated too. Thanks!
