I didn't remember that glitch at all so I was stuck on this one for quite a while.

But after trying out what was possible I finally found the solution.

A big surprise for me I can tell you!

I think there talking about this glitch:

If you trampoline something on a button with a coin on it then the button will stay down.

Is it this glitch?:

After putting something on the button with the key on it, put the keg right of it and then get the rainbow spirit to collect the coin from the left.

Yes Bob, that was the glitch I was talking about too! (Congrats on 4500 posts BTW).
The first one is used lots, but I don't remember seeing the second one.
