It exists. It cannot be used directly in a level-editor... but it exists. Also there's a warp gate that creates fiery shadow stinkers for maximum evilness. They can be hexed into any level.
... oh wait. I just had an idea for a stupidly evil "Shadowish" level. I'll be back

Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.

Three letters: HEX.
I don't know the exact hex codes, but for the regular shadow gate find Mark's level "The Marionettes" and for the fiery shadow gate find John925's level "Attack of Mr. Angry".

Yeah, I am still interested in evil levels!Muzozavr wrote:MNIK:

I can't find the "Evil Magic" level. Can you post a link to it, please?
EDIT: Never mind. Found it. I expected it to be in the Custom Adventures forum due to the 'Magic' in the name.

Um, I already found it.ben-09 wrote:here: http://www.pcpuzzle.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19533
1. I just realized today...
THE FIFTH PLAYABLE CHARACTER IS ALREADY THERE, IN WA!
For RTRTW, the fifth character will be the new playable character introduced in WA... *drum roll*
CUSTOM!!!
I suppose you think Custom is a create-your-own stinker option.
But I believe that Custom is in fact one of the last remaining SHAPE-SHIFTING STINKERS!
Of course, this is very helpful in puzzles where only Loof can free Loof, ect.

i should change my signature to be rude to people who hate pictures of valves
I want the portal gun in WA and RTW!
Its would work better in WA, becasue it would function as a type of magic, with the left mouse button shooting a blue portal, and the right mouse button shooting an orange portal.(although you might want to change the colours to avoid copyright infringement.
)
But it could still work in RTW. You would face the direction that you want to shoot the portal in, then press the space bar to shoot it.

Generation 59: Community experiment. The first time you see this, take the generation # and add 1. Put in your signature.
The portal gun -- meaningless without real 3D. The ONLY (!) reason the portal gun is so great is because it literally allows you to place the portals in any orientation. Ceilings, floors, wall to ceiling transitions, upward flings, you name it, Portal has it. Also, FLINGING. Flinging was the second thing that made Portal rock so hard.
Not so in WA. It isn't a 3D game -- although it has 3D graphics, it takes place on a 2D field. You could potentially shoot portals on walls, and on floors, but without REAL height, no flinging, no ceiling fall-throughs... which means blinking/TPs do the exact same thing except with less hassle.

Unfortunatly we have to do some workarounds to make real 3D possible in WA.Muzozavr wrote:The portal gun -- meaningless without real 3D. And it is impossible in RTW

I've just had the most awesome idea ever:
Imagine a WA-style game. With the same ultra-happy cutesy graphics as usual. With psychological horror dialogue.
Would that rock?
(And yes, this is totally me hyped up by the idea of playing Silent Hill I for my very first time... ON HALLOWEEN!

You know, I always thought that there SHOULD be some horror stuff that's scary even for most adults but if a kid is brave enough can be safely read/watched/played by that particular kid. Shouldn't be the norm of course... but it's nice to have an option.tyteen4a03 wrote:Too scary, I thought Wonderland is a family game?Muzozavr wrote:I've just had the most awesome idea ever:

Besides, a darker installment in a usually-cute-and-happy franchise done RIGHT... win in my book.

Well, I guess I will just post my suggestions here now, since my topic failed.
1. An official IRC channel for the Wonderland (pcpuzzle) forums. [It would be a good idea because people can now chat live with instant responses, instead of having a forum style chat where responses may take a while. It would also give us the opportunity of knowing one user better.]
2. Online mode for the Wonderland games. [We see that in some levels, Stinky and the crew work together (controlled by one player) to collaborate the steps for getting to the goal. But what if there was an online mode (2 or more players on a level), where multiple players control a different character to work out a level. There is also a problem with the means of figuring out what the teammates should do. A chat in-game should solve all that.]
3. A Wonderland Arcade. [Added in the games of Wonderland, as an extra feature when the player is tired of playing regular puzzle levels. Arcade games without an ultimate objective (like Tetris, Collapse!, Snake, Break the Dam, and Pacman), would be much more fun for the person experiencing the features of Wonderland. This idea could be also implemented into the forums, but it is a place for discussion, not playing games.]
4. Another category for custom level solutions. Sometimes people's imagination can make exceptional levels, but they are often hard. So, if there was a section for people to post solutions for custom level, it would help a lot. Example of level I am stuck on (for three days now): The Binary Lock- by mette. I managed to figure out the code, but then there is nowhere to go. If there was a solution that gave even vague hints, I would be done by now. -_- But where's the fun in that? Still, it would help.
5. A forum browser app for iPhone/iPod Touch. It could maybe run faster than going to Safari, then going to the discussion board. For example, it took nearly 10 seconds to submit this message.
6. Bosses. Not just a mothership UFO type thing, but something that will only die with 10 hits (explosions, boulders, etc.). Plus, spikes and electro tiles cannot affect it.
That's all for now.

How do you deal with latency issues? Does this mean MS has to update the levels every often?
BTW, That is also a main concept for WAO.

There are many forums out there with an arcade, the only problem is how we intergrate them into the forum system. WonderForum is always ready for Flash arcade system, though.

I think a mobile skin would be better.

Like a boss level at the end of every world?
That's all for now.
