memory acces violation

Post by molly »

Yes I have windows 7 and with the latest update from Nvidia I can play wonderland again, the only problem I now have is the memory acces violation, seen it posted a few times, but couldnt find any answers.
Is there a answer for it ???? or should I keep starting wonderland till I have a level I can play.

Thank you

Molly

OH NOES, THE EVIL MAV!!!

@^_^: Does it really matter what game it is? All of them have been known to MAV, but it is most likely RTW molly's talking about.

Molly, you might want to ask Qloof234.

It does matter, and it might be more likely that it isn't RTW than it being RTW even if it is the most likely game that Molly is talking about.

Sorry to disappoint you, but as you can see here: http://www.pcpuzzle.com/forum/viewtopic ... 217#255217 in Midnight Synergy's post there seems to be no solution for the Nvidia problem with Windows 7 yet.

A few other options as alternative:
- Try playing Wonderland on a different computer. (Don't throw an old computer away until you have a new one which you can play Wonderland on.)
- Make a "dual boot" and install XP on it. (Not sure if that's possible though, to get XP-drivers for the newest hardware.)

Do you mean sort of an emulator? That if you're running W7, you can switch back to XP?

If that's true I'm curious if that will work for the people who have those MAV's, because I think it still uses the same graphic card and driver. But I can't try it out because it works fine for me. However, I would be able to try out the XP-mode, if I know how to do that.

Edit: I found something about the XP mode, but if I'm right it's only available for W7 Professional and Ultimate, so probably not for the Home edition. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/

Hello, thank you all for your response.
I have trouble with playing the nutter levels, with vista I found only a few I couldnt play. Sorry No old computer available XP crashed and Vista was mall functioning and there I was cheated when I bought the current computer I couldnt reinstall Vista( wich was not working proper due to a hacker), so ended up with Windows 7. And indeed when I upgrade windows 7 to Professional I get the XP mode, thank you for that, I am looking in to it at the moment
