Two years ago there were problems with the server where this forum was, because the forum became too big and everything was very slow. It happened several times that people accidentally double posted, because seemingly nothing happened after pressing the submit button, so they pressed it again. (the same thing what still happens now and then when someone has a slow connection)
Then Patrick decided to move the entire forum to a new server. But that took a few days, and in that time, some people were still connected with the old server, and other people with the new one. So, if people posted on the old forum in the time between the beginning and the completion of the transition, those posts would be lost.
Now was there a forum member who decided to copy the old forum to another site, where you could not post, but you still could see those posts, which would be lost. It was meant to be temporary, for a couple of weeks, but apparently it's still there.
Don't you remember that BB?

Tyteen, I don't know about it. Perhaps he knows more about Wonderland games then forum software, perhaps he din't have the time for it, perhaps he didn't want to take the time to study about these things. After all everything is easy once you've done it hundred times.
Flying Boy, I think #2 is not really a glitch. If you copy stuff from one site to another one, then you also copy the links, and they are still pointing to the same webpage.
About #1; If you copy stuff from this forum to another place which is not really a forum, then it's logical that not everything works the same, so strange things happen. Perhaps you can find many more glitches.

I've tried that too, and then I came back to this (the real) forum on the "register" page, while I was still logged in with my own username. So it is no glitch either. Usually when you logged in, you can't go to the "register" page. Apparently you can only register for a new account when you're not logged in under another account.Flying Boy wrote:1. If you go to make a new account, and hit something other than "I don't agree to these terms" it will tell you that username(what username?) is taken.

#2 is about URL setting in phpBB.
Actually, all they needed is the database for the migration, and maybe the files if MS did any modifications to the files (except the config.php)
