New Level (Adv) - The Black Pyramids (pt2: The Jungle)
Hi everyone,
This is part 2 of the Black Pyramids Saga!!!
A deadly storm causes flight 714 to crash into the sea. Loof, Stinky and Peegue luckily survive and must pass through the jungle to rescue Qookie trapped inside a sinking plane before it's too late..
Please make sure you download all the model files A & B (in the next post) for a great visual!!!
It took us a while to complete this one, but this is as good as it gets!!! Anssur and I are proud to present this Mega Level!!!
Anssur, thank you so much for your contribution to the level. This is greatly appreciated! Great quality puzzles as always...
On a personal note, I would like to say many many thanks to Marinus who has done a great job at testing the various puzzles I was trying to create.
Enjoy!
LeMarquis & Anssur
Note: For the ones who likes smaller puzzles, I will release the separate puzzles of this mega level in a few days...

You're welcome, but to be honest, I only tested a few small parts which I couldn't play without hints, so I don't have the illusion that I'm able to play the entire level on my own. But I'm convinced it is a masterpiece like all of your levels. Thanks!Marquis wrote:On a personal note, I would like to say many many thanks to Marinus who has done a great job at testing the various puzzles I was trying to create.

Ok Here are few of the puzzles for practice...
We took some of the elements away to simplify them but they are very similar to what we used in the full level.
Those puzzles will also give you major hints on what you need to do while attempting to solve the full level. So if you don't want any hints, DO NOT download these...
(like you will listen to me... lol)
Once you have mastered solving those 5 parts, don't stop there! Please try the entire level as more challenges are awaiting for you!
This was a suggestion from Marinus!
Enjoy!

I can't even get started.
Part B looked like it might be the easiest, I can do it as long as I don't take the coin... but when I try to solve it for real, I'm out of luck. The sokoban puzzle here requires me to set myself in a terrible position and by the time I'm done, the boomer's back and there's no space whatsoever.
Part A??! Seriously, how do you put anything on that conveyor?
Part C? Is that really enough items?
Part D and Part E I haven't really tried all that seriously, but... as for those first three... how? how? how??? Especially B, others are just complicated as heck but part B looks IMPOSSIBLE because of that boomer... I know how to solve the sokoban part without him, but I'm stuck when he's there...

Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.

Part A:
Part B:Hint: "Freeze the ghost!!!"
Part C (actually the easiest puzzle here...):Hint: You need to solve the sokoban in a different way so that you always have a place to hide when the boomer comes back!
Hint: Like Hoodini. I don't need to move to move objects!!!

So far I could solve version B, C, and the F you sent me by email. To play B, I had to check some older email, and now I remember that I had found a way
Version A, I can't solve anymore, since you made my alternative way impossible, and E looks much more complicated then before, while I remember that I only could solve the older, simplified version after at least more then one hint. Version D looks interesting, but actually doesn't look familiar at all. I think I will take a better look at it someday. Also I think that I only dare to take a look at the big level, after I'm able to play the separate parts.to do the boxes myself, if only I wouldn't have to deal with the boomer, and then you sent me a different way to solve it
For part B:
After you solved the sokoban WITHOUT the boomer, give yourself reference points of where the 2 boxes and the goobie need to be. Then learn the patterns of the boomern he always turns the same way) and hide where he doesn't go! Make sure you collect the timer first as it gives you more time. Also use the escape key in doubt where to go...
I hope that helps.
Good luck Bob

So far I belive I have figured out this level - but to actually do it from beginning to end without fail is a different story altogether.
I have not looked at the parts, only at the big picture.
Since I am away at the moment and the only screen I can access is too dark, I removed the texture and models so I can see what's going on. Hope it does not change the essence of the level.
Also, in Peegue's part I found at least two items not in use, so I probably did it other than intended.
Loof's part and Qookie's first part are just amazing!!!
Thanks, I will continue when I have time to try to run the whole sequence.

There was an easy way out on Peegue's part... with Amnon's help, I realized the problem and fixed it. I revised part E which affects the whole level... Those 2 levels have been updated on the posts above...
Thanks Amnon
Thanks Amnon

In case you wish to verify that you have the right version, the changes I made were: adding a flame on the yellow button, changing a 2 step tile for a 1 step tile above the coin and changing Shadow Stinky for Shadow Qookie.

As Bob mentioned in the previous post, there was a small mistake in Part E which also affects the entire level.
When I made a revision after Amnon discovered a flaw in Peegue's part, I went too far and removed something I needed..
So I needed to revert to a 2-step breaktile (instead of a a 1-step breaktile), 1 tile up from the coin on the breaktile.
This has been corrected above on the thread... Many thanks to Bob!!!
=> Please redownload part E and the full level.
Sorry for the inconvenience...
BTW did anyone solve part D yet?
Also since I made a mistake, I thought it would be nice to also release part F as you will also need to solve this small puzzle to complete the full level...
And for the fans of this series... Part 3 (The Desert) is in the oven and will be released very soon!
Note: How come so many of you visit the post, but very few write comments???... Don't be shy... drop me a line
Cheers

I am back home now and finally I could see all the wonderful models and texture, all those animals I have not seen before because my screen was too dark. What an investment!
So it took me about 72 hours of playing straight, but I made it!
I only did the untimed level - I tried to do it in the 8:30 minutes limit, but was totally short of that, I would probably need another 4-5 minutes to complete.
Thanks for all the new tricks!!!

I would not ask for a complete walkthrough right now, but if it's only some more hints for the hardest parts, and explanation about the, not so well-known tricks, it would be appreciated.
I must admit that I didn't look more at the levels after my previous post, but perhaps if you tell me what's the trick with part A, which I couldn't play, and after that, I try the other parts and ask some help for them.
If I only can play a level with a full walkthrough, it's no fun, but if you tell me about the hardest parts, and I can do the rest myself I think I still would enjoy it.

Thanks, that did the trick. I could play A now, and I'm making a bit progress with D.
Be back later. So far I could get 2 reflectors on the conveyor-timer, another time I could get 2 boulder in the water below the bananas, but then I made a mistake with a reflector. I'll keep trying, and I think, if I do the bouders first and then the reflectors, I can get all coins. No idea though how to fill the water near the exit.
Edit: Oh I think that won't be a big problem
OK, I also could play D and E. Actually I played both E versions; the one with the Stinky and Loof shadows, and the one with 2 Stinky's. I think with the 2 Stinky's makes one thing a bit more obvious.
Since you changed some things a bit compared to the version you sent me a while ago, I didn't know what to do first, but afterwards I think the cube/box pushing in the beginning, and what to do with the goob in the end is a little bit less hard then the other one. Nevertheless I don't think I would have solved it all by myself, without the information you gave me then, especially about the red spheres.
Thanks for the fun!
I'm not sure if I'm going to try the big level though. Actually I think those small parts have exactly the right size for levels with this difficulty degree.
