Romance! Qookie will marry Peegue at the end! *shot*
Add a a bit of action. Remember the part where they run away from z-bots who are firing at them? When I was gonna "animate" it I planed on having their legs in a blur of motion. That part would look good somewhat fast. :3
Other than that, what you said.

-Qookie is looking at the official Loof webpage-
-Peegue is playing Loof:The video game-
-Stinky walks in-
Stinky:Guys...where's Loof?
Peegue:I didn't notice he was gone.
Qookie:Same here. Mabye he's in the shower.
-Stinky walks into the bathroom-
-Morklin is sitting on the floor reading the book "Loof's Life Story"-
Stinky:Hey Morklin...have you seen Loof?
Morklin:I dunno. Mabye he's in that z-bot ship over there. I'm just guessing, but still.
-Stinky looks out the window-
-There is a z-bot ship outside-
-Some z-bots(including ZBC) are attaching a life-sised Loof poster to the side of the ship-
Stinky:Hey guys, have you seen Loof?
-Loof sticks his head out of the window-
Loof:STINKY, HELP ME!
ZBC:I dunno where he is. Try the Lazy Leaf Woods.
Stinky:Good idea.
-Sinky hops out the window and walks to the woods-
Loof:STINKY! I'M RIGHT HERE!
ZBC:Ok, troops! Now, lets go find Loof and kidnap him!
Loof:You allready have me...-sigh-
I was bored so I wrote this. :3

OK, guys, in two days I have composed my first musical piece for this thing!
It's called "Paint it Rainbow" and is intended for the part where Stinky and Loof are trying to restore color in Wonderland. The actual color restoration itself needs different music, this one won't fit... This one is more "energetic-y" and "adventur-y" and less "wonder-y" and "majestic-y".
(It could also be probably used for Loof's adventure at the start, if you're going to show it...)
You can download "Paint it Rainbow" here: http://www.mediafire.com/?m7o1wjzhkj4990t
This song is intended to loop. If you need a non-looping version, one that distinctly ends and only then starts over, I could do that as well... but I don't want to. Right now, it's perfect as it is.

Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.

Technically: since I don't use any vibratos, portamentos and pitch-bends... so far I didn't have to learn all the MIDI macros hassle, so it's actually quite simple.boywhoflies wrote:Dude...you have SO MUCH SKILL. I wanna put that on my MP3 player.
How...did you learn how to do that?
I use:
1. OpenMPT -- the program where I work. It has a simple tracker interface, which I love. It makes stuff fast and easy.
2. SFZ+ Professional -- a VST plugin that allows me to properly load soundfonts... because OpenMPT's native soundfont support really sucks.
3. SGM V2.01 -- the actual soundfont. A soundfont is basically a bank of various sounds. This one almost 250 MB, which is fairly big for a soundfont, but it has GREAT sounds. Plus, they are already awesomely balanced in terms of their left-right location in stereo. I will probably use some specific panning later on, but for now I didn't even need that, it works as is and the result has a great sense of depth. All I had to do was to change the individual volume of each instrument to make them feel "right" together.
Plus: all three are freeware.

Musically/melodically: I've got my first acoustic guitar at the age of five and heard people (my dad and one other guy) playing even before that. The other guy was really skilled, so I had a great example of awesome while I was learning how to play guitar.
Through my life I listened to a boatload of different music in all sorts of genres so my brain could pick and choose... stuff. As the result, I have developed an interesting and somewhat unusual melodic thinking.
So in terms of melody, I could already do that. It's just that I'm more interested in music than in learning various uber-complicated user interfaces of different programs, so if I can't figure out how to use a program for too long, I just move on and do something else. The only program which I managed to get used to was OpenMPT, but it needs sampled sounds. Searching for good free samples is insanely tiring, to the point where finding instruments takes far more time than actually composing -- and the built-in sample library really sucks. I did try to make some music out of it and it's listenable as music, but the sounds themselves (aside from a few) just scream "cheap Windows MIDI!" to the point where it's absolutely impossible to use such music as soundtrack in any way, shape or form. It would stick out like a sore thumb.

If you have any problems with loading the soundfont even after you have enough free moemory, try switching the loading mode in SRZ+ Professional to "PR32" or "PR16". I don't need to do that, so I don't even know how to do that, but it did help many people.boywhoflies wrote:Wow. Well, I gotta free some memory! XD

The portal song is copyrighted. Since WA3 POTZ is going to be sold commercially, just as the other Wonderland games, Midnight Synergy probably won't be licensing it, since creating their own is cheaper.eee226 wrote:You can make some songs like surf music.
BTW I think the portal song is great for Planet of the z-bots
If you meant Planet of the Z-bots as a location in the animation special, then... it will still be better to create our own.
The "Loof movie" is pretty awesome, but before the kidnapping part itself, there's the "bright color flashes" scene and that scene itself will require different music.
That, and I still think "Paint it Rainbow" will suit the scenes right before Stinky and Loof restore color to Wonderland better, but that doesn't matter. And we can reuse music anyway.

One very minor problem I have is that everything happens extremely fast. EXTREMELY fast. I think it might be better to slow some of the scenes down a little bit to make sure that the viewer can understand and feel each scene.
