It looks, surprisingly, a lot like a Wonderland setting.

BTW, if anyone cares much, I'm going to try the free classic version of Minecraft and I'll buy it later if I like it. Almost all my friends play it, and I am very curious. Also, it seems similar to Wonderland but more exciting, which is my thing.

I looked up the new demo. It's pretty cool. You can access every item and build in a world for 90 minutes until it automatically locks up.

With a home island filled with holes and no tools, I'm not even taking this seriously anymore. On Easy, I can never make it out of a cave alive unless I don't find any iron.

Use the seed "4" (without quotes doofus), and there should be one nearby to explore, you have to cross a little bit of water though.

More mushroom island mysteries:

1. Why wasn't there mushroom blocks to pick in creative?
2. What's the use of mycelium?

1. I bet you can pick it up using the Pick Block function.
2. Well, mycelium is the vegetative part of fungus, so it's only fitting. Plus, it makes the area unique. It's the only block on which mushrooms can be planted and spawned while in direct sunlight, mushrooms spread faster on it, and it can turn neighboring grass into it.

I had to start a new world because fo the same computer problems that messed up my Editor, but in that world, I...

Found a HUGE cave, harvested MANY COAL, IRON, REDSTONE, and LAPIS LAZULI (as well as a measly one block of Gold Ore), got lost for an hour, ran out of torches and had to destroy and replace my last one, started digging a staircase at a random dead end out of sheer frustration, ended up in an abandoned mine, my last torch was destroyed by a Creeper, remembered I had brought Flint And Steel and started using it. Realized I had another torch, started using it. Still hadn't found my way to the surface, had broken only pickaxe. Made a crafting table using wood from the abandoned mine, made pickaxe using that. Made it to surface. Was blown up by Creeper, survived. Was bitten to death by spiders.

Typical day.
