Total number of collectible gems in WA3

I finished the game. My count is 1116 (excluding those collected after crossing the 142-star gate).

Did I miss any?

Interesting, I ended with 986 gems, 152 stars, and 36 coins (obv includes post 142 star gate). All my adventures say X of X, so I must have missed 30 or more lying around the ground?

Some gems are in hubs on the Planet Of The Z-Bots, so unfortunately you can't get them back after you destroy that planet.

Currently making sure I pick up every gem and logging them down.

Looks like when you use floing to redo an adventure if pick up some gems and then save before you finish the adventure it will add to your total gem count even if you don't pick up more gems than you did the first time.
