New Level - Where Do I Go?

Post by SharonM » Mon Aug 01, 2005 6:04 pm

Hello all. I haven't posted a level in a very long time, but I have been playing with an idea for quite a while. I finally got it into the editor with a little help from freightrain. :D I hope you like it.

I don't know if it's the level or my computer.

But I can't play it. i'll try again.

Cathy, it worked fine for me. You might try downloading it again, see if that helps.

Sharon, this was really fun! Everyone had their job and did it well. I liked the disappearing boxes! It always surprises me when they do that. I really enjoyed this one, Thanks! :D

Thank you very much .... I have to agree with Gen I loved the fact that everything would disappear in the water

Thanks Gen and Shorty. :D I actually was as surprised as you when the boxes disappeared! I originally had Qookie in the section where Loof is now, but switched it because I found the constant switching annoying. If you leave Loof at the exit of his first maze (where the sign is), he'll get killed when Qookie and Peegue start moving the boxes into the water on the first island. I still don't know why that happens either.   Anyway, I'm glad you liked it. :D
I'm sorry, Cathy. I tried it again and it works fine on my computer. I'm not sure what's happening. Is it just not playing or starting and freezing?

I was asking because the problem might be that I have too many of the small mushrooms or flowers. If that's the case I might be able to eliminate some of them.

Okay, I went back and eliminated some of the flowers and small mushrooms. See if this version does any better.

Wow .. a vast level ... tiny bit juddery on my machine but playable. I've done each bit but not all together so that gold star is proving elusive just now. Nice puzzles Sharon

Thanks

Kazza :) :)

Thanks Kazza. :D It is rather large for me. I just started working and it grew!    Sorry it was juddery. Did you download the first one or the second? I put the second version on to be played with machines that don't handle the first level well. I eliminated some of the flowers and mushrooms to cut down on the numbers. I've noticed in the past (on my old computer) that levels that have a hundred or more of any one item tend to do that, if not just not play at all. I think I got the numbers down far enough. :)
Glad you're enjoying it. :D I've really been enjoying your levels as well. Some of them are very tricky. :D I've been playing yours as well Gen, Shorty, and Cathy. :D I've really enjoyed them. Thank you all for them. :D

Wow this is a mammoth level Sharon, and totally magical. Haven't managed to finish it yet, but I'm not having any trouble running this on my machine. 8)

I love the disappearing boxes too. One time Qookie pushed boxes first and then Loof wiped out on the conveyor, so an invisible box must have been going round there!

Will keep trying with this fascinating level. Carry on with the good work Sharon :D :D

Thanks Liz. :D I didn't realize that Loof would get wiped out on the conveyor!  Makes sense though. If he's standing at the end of the conveyor when Qookie or Peegue push the first box off the island, he gets killed. That's why I put that note there.   I'm glad you're enjoying it. :D
I just wanted to say, I'm currently playing all the levels I missed while I was away and I'm really enjoying yours. Keep up the good work, girl! :D

Thank you all for your kind comments. :D I'm truly glad you enjoyed it. I'll probably make another level, but I'm no where near as proficient as most of you at making them. :D
I'm glad it helped to keep you occupied, Superterv. :D I too have bouts of insomnia and playing a good level does help. :D
Keep on working on it Davimad, you'll get there. I had trouble with your last level too. :D
Thank you Lutz. :D I did it that way on purpose, hence the title. :D I've been enjoying your levels as well. Keep up the good work! :D

Thank you, Kiki. :D That's what I wanted to happen. It's supposed to be a true maze level, with misdirection possible as well as the correct path. :D
I wanted to say I'm really enjoying your levels as well. A couple have me stumped, but I'll figure them out. :D Keep up the good work!

A BIGGIE level - but a very enjoyable and do-able level Sharon. I loved the effects of the boulders and boxes going bananas - excellent effect!

Did it on my first try - so I am very pleased to have got your two stinkers completed tonight!

Thanks hon for the fun :P :D :P :D :P :D
