Wow! What a weird level ol' gramma!

Took me ages to figure out a route. Let me rephrase that... GUESS a route. I have to be honest and say I got killed, flattened and stuck a LOT!!! I'm still not sure what else is in those walls.

A definite 'work out one bit at a time' level. :?

Crazy!!!!

It's for the horse...Let's see how she does

There is an orderly route, and it is quite simple, but those walls make it invisable.

Now that wasn't very nice of me was it?
But on the other hand, there is nothing to 'get' you here, so I was nice after all.

I tried this a few times and everytime I got to the exit something got me

So I put it in the editor to see what it was and there was nothing there :?: :!:

Then I changed the background so that I could see all the edges and played it again...AND...there was an invisible box or something just before the exit

After playing it a few more times I finally realised that if you break the bridges in front of the teleporters so that the boulders fall into the water a ghost boulder appears (or doesn't?!) by the exit

So I played it again, by this time very frustrated, making sure I not to break the bridges, and, luvvly jubbly, I DID it. Phew! :D :D

I thought you were having a wicked moment again there for a while

Popo,
You have worked entirely too hard on this level!

The only thing hard about it is;

Spoiler

that you cannot see the teleporters. The boulders are running in and out of the teleporters, so timing and direction are the key. But there is one teleporter that advances you to the next section, and you have to find it. At the last section, bottom, you need to go into the wall at the right place,go left and you skate home.
End Spoiler

I would be interested in knowing how you all feel about hidden properties like this. I am not referring to boxes, dogs, coins in the walls, but necessary parts that are completely out of view.
The object is to solve the puzzle, by finding a way around the obstacle, but is it a fair when you can not see it? Should there be a message clue? Sort of the same thing with trees   that hide the view entirely with no way of catching a glimpse of what to do. Both of these elements need luck, or playing many, many times to avoid past mistakes. Does that take the fun out of solving the puzzle for you?
Logic puzzles are entirely different as everything is there, you just have to sort it out.

I think hidden elements like this are fun if you have SOME sort of little clue that something's there. Not necessarily one of the signs - that makes it too obvious - like in this level, I KNEW there must be teleporters in there somewhere because I could see the boulder going back & forth from one to another (plus there's no other way out, so you KNOW SOMEthing's up!). The only time I think it's not fair is when there's absolutely NO way you could know something's there unless you're the author!

I loved this level ol'gramma. (Darn it! I had to THINK again!)

I also got killed several times when skating home. There was something near the exit. I though it was an elecrotile, so I timed it with those and got through. Weird.

No, I don't mind if you can't see everything. There is a clue that there are teleporters in your level because of the breaks in the wall. I've done the same myself on my levels.

BUT the thing that gets you at the exit only happens if you break the bridges and the boulders fall in the water - like when you push boxes in water at the edges of levels and they go scooting off somewhere. I had unintentionally broken the bridges when I was trying to find the right teleporters to go through.

I had to look at it in the editor cos I thought you had put a nasty in there and wondered how the hell I was supposed to get past it. That's when I found out it was one of those strange things that only happen in Wonderland.

BTW I forgot to mention that I did play it again with everything as you intended (teleporters hidden) and finished it no problem :D

Thanks ol'gramma, (I think) that was wicked.

Took a few goes at it before reaching the exit. Phew!

How did you know that April's like that? Looks all sweet and innocent one minute, the next she's havindg a sly nip at you!

Anyway, she's having a good birthday.
Lots of carrots, apples and her favourite, tinned spaghetti!

She had to share with Molly and Poppy though (her mother and a neighbours horse).

I don't mind hidden features in a level in fact, I think it can be a lot of fun.

Thanks again from April. 8)

I finally got around to this level, and it was a terrific one! Didn't have any problems with any "ghosts" appearing and blocking my way, although I did have one boulder fall into the water. Did take me a few minutes to figure out that boulders were going back and forth on teleporters, and those electric tiles scared the heck out of me until I realized I didn't have to go across them. Nah, this level didn't need any more clues than it had. GREAT ONE! (Now I have to go back and use alt-X to see April's rear!)
