"Classic Wonderland" ??

Post by Loirae »

In the custom levels ares I've seen people comment things like, "It's vey classic Wonderland"

What does this mean? What sets a custom level apart as classic wonderland as opposed to all the others out there?

I guess what I mean by Classic Wonderland is relatively uncluttered puzzles. No generators. It's not easy to say why, but it's a feel of levels as they used to be made. There's a more 'complicated' style among many level makers at the moment - lots of use of generators, teleports, multiple boulders and buttons, etc.

I don't know what other people mean by Classic Wonderland. Any comments?

I've used this expression in the past when describing some custom levels.

The original Wonderland game didn't have lots of features - trees, flowers, false walls, spikes, ghosts, UFO's - it didn't even have Qookie and Peegue - plus lots more.

Any levels which don't contain all the frilly bits ought not to be considered boring as they are traditional, fun and "Classic Wonderland" ... I've used it as a sincere compliment for those levels that aren't full of "extras". But I like "extras" too ... :P

Am i making any sense ? ... :?

Betcha none the wiser now ...
