New Level- Somethings Not Quite Right: 25

Post by Deetster » Sun May 21, 2006 1:07 am

Qookie has finally made it right infront of her cottage, and now must go retrieve the map...but...somethings not quite right in this area.

There are sticky cubes, ice, moveable cannons, gates, round buttons, square buttons, mirrors, prisms, barrels, wooden boxes, items blocking items, regular scourges, water, conveyors, collapsing bridges, electrotiles, puzzles, and physical challenges to deal with if you are going to get gold here.

With all of this I am expecting maybe a bit of hint requests so before you do this here is my first one:

This level has a bit of my old tricks that you have learned in the game, so if you can't think of how to pass it replay...

-Loof and the Cannons: 4

Concider some moves you had to make in this level, and also think about the importance of timing!

Good luck and have fun.

After reading your comments, I started this level with much trepidation. I don't want to give anything away, but I was quite stumped at a certain point. I loved the solution.

Excellent level, thanks!

This one sure had a lot of hazards in it! I had to restart many times because I did not do things in the right order and got blasted by cannon fire many times. A great adventure and a lot of variety made this fun to play! Excellent challenge to work through! Thanks for another gold star Deester!

WOW, Deets, this one took me many tries :!: :!: Kept ending up with no way out (if you know what I mean :?: :?: ). Knew what I needed to do but just couldn't sort it out. Then, like a bolt of lightening   it hit me...so moved "things" in the right direction & SUCCESS was mine with the coveted gold star

Think this is definitely your most challenging level so far and as to your questions I really couldn't say which one was my favorite cause they all have been TERRIFIC. Each one was totally different with its own unique challenge. All I can say is.....KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT JOB...& whatever you design is fine with me. Many thanks for all your efforts.

Tough level with a lot of good timing needed. Made it out after numerous tries with gold. Thanks for the fun :D

If the idea near the end is to traverse the electro-tiles pick up the bonus coin and make it through the now open white gate, then I will never solve this!

I simply can't move that fast, so I must be missing something?

I need to apologize, when I posted my inital response to this I neglected to mention that the cannon fire made it, in my opinion, impossible to get through those tiles and pick up the bonus coin!

When I read your hints, Lutz and Deetster, I realized that the pink gate had to be closed because negotiating an electro-tile field is simply not that difficult, especially if you've played this game for awhile

Closing that gate was the something I was missing!

Thanks for the help and for this level!

This was my favourite so far I think - great fun to work through! 8)

All your levels are superb Deets - a real joy to work through. Your mis-direction is second to none! Great design and layout too 8) If I had to be picky, my least favourite would have been Quookie and the travelator one

Please keep them coming :D

Question - do you play other people's levels at all? Just curious :D

No I don't play other peoples levels too often. I have a few reasons

-Custom models don't work on my computer
-Custom houses don't work on my computer
-Custom textures don't work on my computer
-Chompers don't work on my computer
-UFOs killing eachother don't work.

Seeing as these come up in order to make levels at there best that gets annoying. Also I just love making levels so much, so I want to devote my time to that.
