New level (Advanced) - The Armory

This one uses mette's outstanding new metal3 texture :D

please please please can i have a hint for this theo, i've been on and off it since you posted it and i've probably put 2 hours into it without getting close.

i can get the boulder across in what looks like the right position but then i can't do anything with stinky, or i can get stinky across but then i can't do anything with the blocking boxes :? :?
a person who never made a mistake never made anything!

You need to get the metal boxes to where they are circled in orange on my screenshot.
There is a fake wall in the red circle to help you.
After you have done that, push the boulder up at the steel boxes, then push it to the right.
You must then perform the "stinker in a boulder" glitch that everyone has been using lately (I've circled this in green), and use the boulder as armor as you run across the walkway.

Am I the first to solve this Stinkter Thinker? :shock:
Your take on the glitch is much better, though getting the timing is more difficult.
Didn't use any hints to get that gold star.

I used the "Stinker in a boulder" glitch recently, But I must say that your variation of its use is excellent, It seemed like my armor was slightly behind me but still did its job. The texture looked awesome, Ace fun Bud. Thanks. :D :D :D

I needed your hints to get started Theo! The boulder timing was the hardest for me and of course I messed up at the other end a couple times too! Finally got it all right and made it out of the armory safely! Thanks!

thanks theo, i haven't done it yet but i will soon :lol:

i've only seen the stinker in the boulder glitch once and that was a one square jobby, i never for a second thought that you could do it in a moving boulder :? :?

did it first time then fell for something else, then it took about 3 more goes, the timing on the move isn't that difficult, the first time i managed it i was nearly half a boulder in front, then i got going like three quarters of a boulder in front and got shot, then the next successful time i was only just ahead of the boulder.

i've tested this on a new level now and made my mind up that you have to edit the glitch in.

PHEW, it would be a disaster for many a boulder level if it was a glitch in the game rather than one that had to be edited in 8)

Well, golly-gee, there was no way my mind was thinking that way, and don't know that it ever would. I need to remind myself that you use glitches, 'cause I forgit! :wink:

Besides the beginning, managed to get the rest, and had fun doing it! Thanks!

The only way I edited this level was in the level editor, this glitch is not hex-editing :P
