Decoys at the Gates.

While Loofro and Stinky Sam are entering the portal of Mount Doom,
Paragorn, Gimlet and Leggylass are keeping the Evil Eye fixed on them.
It is possible to destroy all the enemies and grab all the bonus coins.

I was determined to get those orcs' gaze away from stinky sam! I decoyed and decoyed some more and after a couple gazillions tries, I found a path that seemed to work almost every time. After that, it was just a little "keeping my eyes on the prize" that I had to remember. What a whopper of a level, but I'm so glad I made it through.

Tough battle Liz! After many struggles our heroes defeated all the enemies and collected the loot so they could continued on their way!

Congratulations Loopity and Duckels for completing this level.

I get the feeling I may have created a bit of a stinker here, so for anyone who wants it, here is the solution. If you don't want to see the solution, look the other way ...

COIN QUEST 72 SOLUTION

1 Peegue kills the enemy at the gate by walking up and down repeatedly until it blows itself up.
2 See screenshot. Peegue follows yellow path, picking up those coins and pushing the top metal box left.
3 Loof pushes the metal box to end up above Peegue, and walks back to his starting position.
4 Peegue pushes the box up to #1 and stands to the right of it. Loof walks right to the pit and left back to starting position. You now have one row of red guys at the top.
5 Peegue pushes the box up to #2 and stands to the right of it. You now have one red guy in the top left corner.
6 Loof moves 1 step up, which moves his shadow 1 step down. Now use Peegue as a decoy to get the red guy to shoot the orcs (kabooms). As each orc reaches the point marked with a yellow dot, Peegue moves 1 down and 1 up quickly to get the red guy to fire. The orc will be shot. Take your time and don’t get caught in the line of fire. Eliminate all orcs marching round the top area.
7 Loof steps 1 down and walks right and left repeatedly until his shadow shoots itself.
8 Repeat the entire procedure from #3 with Peegue and Qookie.
9 Collect all rainbow coins. Push metal boxes over trampolines to blow up barrels. Jump over, collect bonus coins, and jump into corridor.
10 Get one character to stand on a green button whilst the other collects the last 2 bonuses. For maximum points, wait until the gate-control orc steps into the green gate then step off the button to eliminate him.
11 Use the secret passages to get back to the main area.
12 One simple jump to the exit!

That was some battle Liz, took numerous tries to eliminate all the baddies (I see by your spoiler, that I did it slightly differently) but the end result was gold!

The quest continues...

What a fierce battle this was! I had to keep coming back to it over and over and over, and finally today, the team was victorious. I managed it without peeking; I knew what to do, just had a hard time not making mistakes!

We are nearing the end! I'll be sad to see it go.

I can't tell you how many times I was poised to exit only to make some dumb @ss mistake and get kilt, $#$#@% Finally I looked at your spoiler and found I was trying to do things the way hard way, I did it your way and fond I could get rid of all the baddies except the one boomer on the far right,

I just left the field Hospital, My war wounds have healed sufficiently enough to get ready for the next level, Though I think that was the last big battle. This one was by far the hardest for me and I very glad that I got past it, PHEW! Thanks for the challenge.

another cracker in the series and a scary level, at least it was the way i did it

i didn't use any of the boxes to collect coins, i used loof first, then quookie, and then peegue to destroy most of the baddies, and after i'd used a couple of baddies to destroy the kabooms i trapped bad quookie in the corner with 4 boxes, exited loof and then only had a single bad loof to avoid which wasn't hard as i knew he was staying put

Those Doodes have got a lot to answer for

I sort of did it my own way really, lots of backwards and forwards and tempting fate

I would get down to the last couple of doodes and one character would get shot just for standing and minding their own business

Excellent battle - I hope the next one isn't as fierce
