Post by BIGZIPZ » Sun Jul 04, 2004 11:30 am

Speaking of Automatic Updates (see Internet Explorer thread)..... shortly Micro$oft will release an update for Windows XP, namely Service Pack 2. So be prepared for a download of 80MB from windowsupdate.com :)

EDIT: Was due to be released in June, was pushed back to July, and now is pushed back again to "this summer" which could mean any time from now to August I guess.

Download times (approx)

56Kb dialup: 273mins

512Kb Broadband: 21mins

1Mb Broadband: 11mins

2Mb Broadband: 5mins

This is an essential update, please do not be put off by the large file size, every single Windows XP computer needs this pack.

273 minutes?!!!!

I get kicked off after 120 minutes.

I hopes it carries on where it left off if it's on automatic update.
