New Level (adv) - Basket Case

Post by Loirae » Thu Aug 10, 2006 8:08 am

I just wanted to try out my new basket texture so I had to make a little ditty to go along with it. A teensy harder than my last coulpe, but not as much as some of my earlier ones (unless you're heavily medicated).

A very intricate level and well thought out, The texture and the title were perfect, Took me well over an hour of hair plucking to pluck this chicken. Ace puzzle all the way. :D :D :D

Finally got through this one and I must say both Peegue and I are in need of a nap! Running here, running there, getting everything in place is hard work. Thanks for the workout.

Well Loirae - Just to let you know I'm not ignoring your levels, they're just way to hard for me!

I've been trying this day after day since you posted the level, and I can't even get out of the first room!

You have an extremely devious brian! (brain even  )

Great new texture.

I'm a total basket case after this one! I solved your riddle, but it wasn't the answer I thought it was. Very clever and tricky level!

Great texture, great fun! Thanks!

Ah, kiki, you win the bet. Help has been requested.

Here's a hint: Kill the bottie with the cannon to get him out of your way.

But if you want more details on actually HOW to do it:
Push the left reflector striaght left. Push the middle reflector to the sign. Push the right reflector in line with the cannon and left reflector to blow up the box and let the bottie out. that middle reflector will steer him away from the keg and send him down below from side to side under the other two reflectors.

Then push the middle reflector down so the cannon shoots the bottie(takes a few firings, but he'll get there.)

That should leave you room for pushing stuff around.

Sorry.

Thank you so much for that help Loirae!

My problem was that I didn't dare to do the first step you mentioned in case I lost a vital piece of equipment. Didn't realise there were fake walls! 8)

Even after the hints, it was still quite a feat of shuffling stuff around to solve this one. Then a rather heart-stopping ending.

Loved it - thanks Loopity! :stinkyhappy:

Really enjoyed sorting thru this one bit by bit by bit. Had the first room done fairly quickly prior to your hint but the second room with the metal boxes took me quite awhile cause kept putting all the equipment in the wrong place & then one time I blocked myself in.......DUH
Happy to have my gold star in hand. Excellent, Loirae :!: :!:

Finally got this one completed  My biggest problem was keeping that little git alive and trying to "reflect" him into the last room to blow the exit clear! After MANY attempts at this (should have read this post - DOH!) I gave up and took another look at it!

FINALLY got it sorted - ace puzzle Loopity - very well done - loved this one :D

Good point. A couple people mentioned trying to do this. So here's a spoiler:
The z-bot is simply there to get in your way. Trap him and kill him with reflected fire before he can blow up your much needed barrels. there may be a marter-skill way of redirecting him, but I wasn't ever able to find it and didn't count on it as a solution. Once the bottie is gone, it's a lot of pushing, pulling and exchanging.
