I never got a game-over (ever) but I did lose around 30-35 lives (on that comet).

Game overs are pink in SMG1 and in SMG2 they are yellow.
Also, in SMG2, can you use Cosmic Guide on The Chimp's non-hidden stars or on firing-boxes ones?

I don't think you can with box ones because you don't die if you fail there

Um, NEWSFLASH: You DO lose a life if you fail at one of the Chimp's challenges, as well as the challenges to destroy all the boxes in a given time limit. In any case, you cannot get help from the Cosmic Guide on those Stars. (At least, I THINK you can't...)

If you need help with anything on SMG2, remember, I can offer you some advice. Also, if you are having trouble with a certain Star and my tips don't help, try and ask an experienced friend for assistance. They just might be able to do it. (And make it look easy!)
