I saved my game (I guess it was while I was moving on the transporter, since I loaded the game and was moving on the transporter, left direction) I got off the transporter, went back on.. and it... stopped right in the middle of nowhere!, a few seconds later, I knew why it had stopped...

speaking of which, at the transporter area (near wondertown) you can walk on water! Go South-East from a square South-East of the water that is South-West of the transporter, and click on the water. You'll stand on it!
