New Level - Snowmanland

Post by majic1 » Sun Nov 28, 2004 3:23 am

This started out as a small level, but grew a little bigger (typical  ) - but not too much bigger. The first of my Christmas levels. :D :D

If you already have Popo's Xmas model file, you will need to add the Rudolph model to it, or just download the model zip file I've attached. It's the same as her Xmas file only with her Rudolph model added.

Thanks again, Popo for your Christmas objects --- (submitted in July in case something happened to her before she could submit them      ) - isn't she a sweetie?!!!

'Soft in the head' would be a more accurate discription.

BTW I have loads of models that I haven't uploaded because I don't know if they would be of any use - a bird table and a bench to name just two - and I don't want to clutter peoples hard drives with things that they won't use. Should I upload them anyway and let people decide if they want them. When I made them I thought I might use them in a level of my own but I've gone right off making levels.

This was so attractive and enhanced greatly with Popo's models.

The first time I didn't heed your warning majic1, Santa's little helpers knocked me for six!

Next time I made sure the rules were obeyed and made it to the exit. :D

Overall, very enjoyable.

Thanks

M.A.D.

P.S. Popo, I think you should upload the models, people aren't forced to download them. I personally enjoy looking at them in a level, this one actually shows the difference.

Yes, Popo - upload any models you've got! The more, the better - I like them all, and I really enjoy making levels with the custom models/houses in them!!!

When I've opened the pale blue gate, I can't get away from the elves quick enough, they always run me down. I'm sure I'm doing it the right way but they get me every time.

 I've just had a thought, perhaps I'm not supposed to get that coin in the gate but leave it for Santa's Little Helpers. I'll go and try it. :P

You have to be quick to get that coin at the gate! I'm not sure if the helpers will get it or not. I never thought of that! Maybe they will; I'm going to have to try it that way myself!

Just tried it - they WILL get that coin, but you have to wait awhile sometimes. I went through the teleporter & hid until they were done with their work. I'm a chicken. But then they got me when I went back through to exit!!! Anyway, it IS possible to do it that way! :D

I did manage it by going and waiting by the exit gate, but I was so eager to get out that I forgot 2 bonus coins. I tried it again but a little helper got me that time. At least I finished it.

The models do make a lot of difference to the level, even though it is only visual. I'll work my way through the models that I have and put them in groups - eg. garden furniture etc. Some of the models I've made to hide or disguise things, the cannons for instance, just to make them look a bit different. Some are just plain silly. :D

Yes popo, please do!

Really enjoyed this level, the models fit well and the puzzles were just
enough to confuse me for a while! Thanks,
