Does anyone know what causes this? Am I doing something wrong? Is it the forum acting weird?
Any help as how to fix this will be greatly appreciated.

A very good guess Ann, but I never use the back button when I've read a post. I discovered a while back that it would mess up the read/unread markings and since then I allways click on general discussion (or whichtever forum I'm currently in) link.ann3120 wrote: I might have solved the read/unread problem.
I read this thread and then hit my "back" button: the thread still showed as a new one - then I read it again, and clicked on the "general discussion" link at the top of the page: the thread was no longer new.
Thanks to Kymmie. My machine doesn't need to crash for that to happen. Everytime I leave the forum everything is automaticly marked as read. It has allways been like that for me, so I thought it was normal.Davimad wrote: I have had my machine crash and when returning to the forum it seems I've read everything.
Yea, that part is normal. When you visit the forum, all threads get a "visited this time" stamp. The forum only knows when you were last here (and assumes that any threads are read after about twenty minutes or so, even if you didn't read them all).mette wrote:My machine doesn't need to crash for that to happen.
