Answer (i don't get it either): The person was watching it on TV.Marinus wrote:Does that mean it exploded? Or it's been switched off?A bomb goes off.
Yes to exploding.
In the first case:from the location where the bomb exploded?only a few feet away,
In that case, apparently that person was bomb-proof, or was inside some protecting bomb-proof cabin or so.
WROOOOONG!
About the second puzzle:The person who was watching it on TV, was not a few feet away from the location where the bomb exploded.
101-102=1
I move the numeral "1" from 102 to 101. So 101 becomes 102, and 102 becomes 101. Then we have:
102-101=1
which is correct.
EDIT: Qloof, those are some clever answers there...Highlight for answer wrote:Move the numeral 2 half a line up.
Correct!Marinus wrote:Question 3:101- 10^2=1 it's not only moved half a line up, but also made smaller. Nevertheless a good puzzle! I think I wouldn't found it myself.
Those two boys are on the opposite sides of the river.
He dosen't have stairs. Don't those thingies not have second floors/basements?
(Then again, you could have stairs on one floor)

1: Two boys were born of the same mother on the same day of the same year. They were not twins. How is that possible?
There was another one, too. Three in total. They are triplets.
2: Forwards I'm heavy, backwards I'm not. What am I?
A "ton" backwards is "not".
3: What's the difference between a dollar and twenty five-cents?
They are both the same sum, but in the second case you'll have more coins in your hands.
4: If it takes a laser beam 2 seconds to shoot two lasers, how long does it take the same laser beam to shoot three lasers?
Beams don't shoot. Ignoring that, we don't know if the laser shoots with the same speed all the time, making the puzzle unsolvable.
5: Bill and Ben were playing table tennis on the SAME TABLE. They played a total of five sets, and they each won three sets. How is this possible?
They were playing as a team against another pair.
6: Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
The egg. Dinosaurs existed long before chickens.
7: How can this roman numeral equation be corrected without writing, rubbing out, or cutting and pasting?
XI+I=X
Flip your monitor upside-down.
8: Two days ago I was 114, but next year I'll have my 117th birthday. I can't travel in time. How is this possible?
Your birthday is December 31 and today is January 1. Two days ago you were 114, one day ago you were 115. Then this year's December 31 will make you 116, and the next year's December 31 will make you 117.

Now how about a cryptogram?
The beginning of a well known book has been encrypted below. Each letter of the alphabet has been replaced by another using a simple substitution technique. For example, A may always be represented by G, etc. Can you name the book?
