Answer (i don't get it either): The person was watching it on TV.Marinus wrote:Does that mean it exploded? Or it's been switched off?A bomb goes off.
Yes to exploding.
In the first case:from the location where the bomb exploded?only a few feet away,
In that case, apparently that person was bomb-proof, or was inside some protecting bomb-proof cabin or so.
WROOOOONG!
NEXT!
The following equation is wrong: 101 - 102 = 1
Move one numeral to make it correct.
(Caution: Trick)
Hi Sammy
I think that first puzzle is not correct:
I think that first puzzle is not correct:
About the second puzzle:The person who was watching it on TV, was not a few feet away from the location where the bomb exploded.
101-102=1
I move the numeral "1" from 102 to 101. So 101 becomes 102, and 102 becomes 101. Then we have:
102-101=1
which is correct.

Answer for Question 2:
NOW TIME FOR A SIMPLE ONE.
QUESTION 3:
Two boys wish to cross a river. The only way to get to the other side is by boat, but that boat can only take one boy at a time. The boat cannot return on its own, there are no ropes or similar tricks, yet both boys manage to cross using the boat.
How?
EDIT: Qloof, those are some clever answers there...Highlight for answer wrote:Move the numeral 2 half a line up.

Correct!Marinus wrote:Question 3:101- 10^2=1 it's not only moved half a line up, but also made smaller. Nevertheless a good puzzle! I think I wouldn't found it myself.
Those two boys are on the opposite sides of the river.
Next.
Everything Mr Red owns is red, he lives in a red bungalow and his chairs are red, his tables are red. His ceiling, walls and floor are all red. All of his clothes are red, his shoes are red, even his carpet, television and phone are red. What colour are his stairs?

Now how about a cryptogram?
The beginning of a well known book has been encrypted below. Each letter of the alphabet has been replaced by another using a simple substitution technique. For example, A may always be represented by G, etc. Can you name the book?

Time for my EVIL questions!!!
1: Two boys were born of the same mother on the same day of the same year. They were not twins. How is that possible?
2: Forwards I'm heavy, backwards I'm not. What am I?
3: What's the difference between a dollar and twenty five-cents?
4: If it takes a laser beam 2 seconds to shoot two lasers, how long does it take the same laser beam to shoot three lasers?
5: Bill and Ben were playing table tennis on the SAME TABLE. They played a total of five sets, and they each won three sets. How is this possible?
6: Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
7: How can this roman numeral equation be corrected without writing, rubbing out, or cutting and pasting?
XI+I=X
8: Two days ago I was 114, but next year I'll have my 117th birthday. I can't travel in time. How is this possible?
I have others, but I'm going to include them in my next adventure.

These are old. Most of them I have seen before. I really liked 2 and 3, though, so thank you.yot yot5 wrote:Time for my EVIL questions!!!

1: Two boys were born of the same mother on the same day of the same year. They were not twins. How is that possible?
There was another one, too. Three in total. They are triplets.
2: Forwards I'm heavy, backwards I'm not. What am I?
A "ton" backwards is "not".
3: What's the difference between a dollar and twenty five-cents?
They are both the same sum, but in the second case you'll have more coins in your hands.
4: If it takes a laser beam 2 seconds to shoot two lasers, how long does it take the same laser beam to shoot three lasers?
Beams don't shoot. Ignoring that, we don't know if the laser shoots with the same speed all the time, making the puzzle unsolvable.
5: Bill and Ben were playing table tennis on the SAME TABLE. They played a total of five sets, and they each won three sets. How is this possible?
They were playing as a team against another pair.
6: Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
The egg. Dinosaurs existed long before chickens.
7: How can this roman numeral equation be corrected without writing, rubbing out, or cutting and pasting?
XI+I=X
Flip your monitor upside-down.
8: Two days ago I was 114, but next year I'll have my 117th birthday. I can't travel in time. How is this possible?
Your birthday is December 31 and today is January 1. Two days ago you were 114, one day ago you were 115. Then this year's December 31 will make you 116, and the next year's December 31 will make you 117.

Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.

Lol those were easy. Here's another riddle that I found in a magazine:
The rich want me,
The wise are sure of me,
Fools know me,
Heroes fear me,
WHAT AM I???
Should be easy enough...
And about question four, assume the laser shoots with a fixed reload time, and the laser itself lasts an ignorable time.

Or if there were four, quadruplets.

The egg. Dinosaurs existed long before chickens.
Or if you're a creationist the answer is the chicken.

XI+I=X

A guy feels perfectly fine. He has no symptoms of any type of disease or illness and feels no pain. After an exam with the doctor, he is told he needs surgery. After the operation, the guy is in intense pain and is bleeding. The doctor declares the operation a success.
What happened here?

CORRECT!
The Doctor was actually a dentist and pulled out the guy's teeth.
TIME FOR AN EASIER ONE:
Some guy is a murderer. Strangely, the police do not want to arrest him, even though has has killed over a hundred one year. He is always invited into the home where his murder is scheduled to take place. Not only that, but he may make several murders in the same house.
Who is he and what is going on?
