MyNameIsKooky wrote:On the subject of audience - It's definitely not just intended for 6-year old girls, while the first three episodes are attempting to establish that audience. If you ask me, a good starting point would be Episode 4, as it doesn't require too much explanation to follow what happens.
If you look at episode 1 and 2, it's pretty much the same plot as Paper Mario 2, mostly about the end of the game...well, the outline is the same, anyway.
In those episodes:
A dark pony was sealed in the moon. When she returns, 1000 years later, the world will be launched into a eternal night.
In Paper Mario 2:
A dark soul was sealed in a coffin. When she returns, 1000 years later, the world will be launched into a eternal night.
Which was like in Earthbound:
A dark soul was gaining power in the past. When the party goes back, 1000 years in the past, the world is threatened by eternal darkness.
In other news, since I've had my 7th dream in a row about being Rainbow Dash, I'm starting a fanfic based on my dreams.

Although the show must be good if you guys are still talking about it.
agreed
I MIGHT try it, but I don't have a TV that has TV shows. It only plays VCRs and DVDs. The place I watch TV(If I ever manage to get to watch it) is at my sisters' place. But she is always there with her children, and if she is not I'm not allowed to come over.
Remember to look at the dates that every post is made. It's been many years, and I, and others, may not be the same people we were when we made them. This is a symbol of where we came from, and should be remembered as that.

I'd assume that the episodes are uploaded somewhere on YouTube.

Yeah. I actually use an HDMI port so I can plug my laptop into my HDTV so it's like it's on TV but not really. :3

Scroll down a bit on the first page, I've got a list of all the episodes that have aired with links to them. [/shamelessplug]
It's still kind of understandable, but quite a lot easier to follow if you're watching it of course.
As for the art style, it is flash-based, but I'd still say it looks better than a few other flash-based shows out there right now. Plus the animation's pretty smooth, so I'd say try watching it in motion first.
The season finale is available in ultra-lag and below-abysmal quality, if anypony wants to see it. I watched it and I can't tell if I like it because I got fed up with the lag and quality at about the 2-minute mark.
Actually, I forgot to mention this; in school, I got points taken off of my NYSELA since I accidentally wrote "everypony" instead of "everyone". I didn't even notice it when I was checking over my test. Twice.
Apparently, Season 2 is slated to have 26 episodes instead of 24 as previously assumed, and will start airing sometime in Fall. Additionally, the timeslots have been changed - FiM now airs at 8:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 6:30 PM weekdays, all EST, on The Hub.
Unfortunately for those of us in Canada, the only real channel to watch it on is Treehouse TV, and the schedule for it there seems rather sporadic.
Well, I don't get TV at my house so I can't really get involved with issues like that.
On the topic on Mr. Ingram, he also visited an IRC channel I was idling on. Too bad a missed him. 3: It would be #mylittlepony on irc.irchighway.net if you're interested.
So a while back, Hasbro came up with a thirty-second parody of Katy Perry's "California Girls" to advertise the show. Recently, a full version was released exclusively for Equestria Daily.
It clocks in at three times longer than the original, but the real kicker is that Pinkie Pie actually mentions bronies in one line.
This just goes to show that Season 2 is going to be as good as Season 1 (if not better) even though Lauren Faust isn't the main person working on it anymore.
