You can as long as someone doesn't post after you. If that happens the only thing you can do is go back in & edit/erase your post.

I noticed that I get a "delete-button" when no-one posted after me, in the puzzle-action-forum, but not in the off-topics.

Why should you want to do that? Just say what you want to say, and don't say what you don't want to say
