I think that Deeman is 6 or 7, and I USED to think MyNameIsKooky was 32.
Hey, You and me are the same age, Nobody.

Remember to look at the dates that every post is made. It's been many years, and I, and others, may not be the same people we were when we made them. This is a symbol of where we came from, and should be remembered as that.

Speaking of the Half-Life series, I actually have a deep-set hatred of Half-Life 2 now. Don't get me wrong, it's still awesome and all, but it is in no way a follow-up to the original, for several reasons.
First and foremost - Plot and setting.
Half-Life begins simply enough, Dr. Freeman ends up late for work and arrives an hour later than expected. Everything goes fine... until the experiment he's working on with another group of scientists blows up in their faces. From there on out, you're concentrated on getting out alive, and believe me - that's much easier said than done.
Half-Life 2 just doesn't have that same horror aspect to it, which is what I love about the first game.

If you do get it on Steam, don't go for the Source version. It's a port of HL1 to the Source engine that Half-Life 2 and onwards uses, but for some reason autosaving is off by default (which has caused me no end of pain).
Also HL1NotSource has multiplayer as an integral part of the game, which is pretty fun too (SO MANY TRIPMINES).
