Terraria - Like Minecraft But Different!

Ah, I've been playing this for awhile, and I has found lava!

Though, one time a message that said "An evil pressence is watching you..." so I asked my friend that plays Terraria too what it meant, and he screamed "Get the heck out of that cave NOW! RUN!" The Eye of Cuthulhu is coming to get you!"

I FREAKED OUT.

Before I could get out of the cave, I was dead.

The message has repeated like 5 times now. When it appears I restart the game, since the Eye of Cuthulhu gave me a bad first impression.

Get lots of shurikens. And make some Health Potions, which are made by getting 2 bottles and a gel and mushroom. Also have a bow. Aim for the pupil as the Servants of Cthulhu comes from there. I also recommend a sky platform and Hermes Boots for when it charges at you (aka 2nd phase).

Yep, my friend recommended the shurikens too. Thanks for the advice!

I really want to get rid of that evil eye. I really jumped off my chair when it appeared and slaughtered me.

I never saw the eye. I was a bit below the top of lava level when I died. Does it appear when you get close to the Underworld or something?

I don't really know. That weird message appeared soon after when I found lava, but then it has been appearing more often. It makes the exploring of my cave difficult, making me close the game and open again so I don't have to fight it.

It only appears if you haven't fought it before, or if you use a Suspicious Looking Eye.

I has defeated the Eye of Cuthulhu!

I found his servants quite annoying. Though they only hit me when I had to heal with a potion and wasn't shooting at him. Maybe he'll leave me alone so I can explore more of my cave!

Once you defeat him, the message never appears again.

Yay!

The only downside is that I'm gonna need to make a Suspicious Looking Eye everytime I want to fight him again. But at least I can now explore without being extremely paranoid.

That's the IP, not the port.

It's looking for a three-to-five digit long number at the end, which means something like this:

123.234.345.456:27015

A lot of multiplayer games won't work unless you have the port entered as well, because the game won't be able to find out what port it can send data to (i.e. If Port 256 is open but the address uses Port 257, it won't work because Port 257 is "closed").

Strange. All my Terraria multiplayer servers I've been on didn't need a port. Also, I'm just going to be picky here; It can actually be 1 digit to 6 digits in a port. Feel free to shoot me. On another note, the goblin army is EVIL on a bloodmoon. You have no clue how many times I died., even with a jungle sword.

I know, but the regular monsters still spawn at twice the rate on a bloodmoon so I had two armies coming at me at once.

Well, I've had a good day in Terraria.

First, I found my corruption area. It was VERY far west, the opposite direction of where I found my Dungeon. Then, I fell through a very deep chasm, and in the bottom, was the Underground Jungle!

I found 4 shadow orbs, but I decided to break just one for the moment. I'm trying to mine out the meteorite right now. Those Meteor Heads are rather annoying.
